She says her starters weren’t playing with great energy, then when asked why LA didn’t get much play time, she says “I went back to my starting forwards”
Naz is playing very well and improving. Brings energy and scoring well. Talks on defense. She should get all of Coffey's minutes, as she isn't bringing anything on offense. Why not give Naz all Coffey's minutes? Let Cubaj and Amihere sub some for Tina and Cheyenne. It's up to the coach to get the team back on track, if they veer from the game plan. Coach Wright needs to make a bit more responsibility for failures in that regard. Other than one comment about putting starters back in, Coach needs to own a little more responsibility in the press conference for having the team ready and making in game adjustments. She's got a good staff of assistants. And why is the Dream always total silence about when injured players are expected to return? The Hawks are far more forthcoming about what the injury is and expected return date. Dream is always radio silent. I don't understand that. So weird that they don't even say if it's a fracture or sprain.
Woooooow. Talking about your team like that is-something else. There’s tough love, then there’s throwing your team under the bus. The Dream has some ballers-I didn’t think it was a “piss poor” performance. Aerial Powers and Allisha Grey were killing it. Sheesh. Def not the right coach.
Gamecocks acting like all their players are the best in the world is so annoying. if LA ain’t playing she’s not proving she deserves minutes. Simple as that. LA, Zia, Henny, Saxton, Beal etc are mediocre at best when it comes to other wnba talent - stop fighting these coaches and teams about them not getting minutes- they simply don’t deserve them tell your fav players to get better they already refuse to go overseas anyway
Gamecock fan here and I agree which is why I haven't wondered why she isn't playing you can tell whenever she does get in that she isn't ready... Dawn Staley teaches them to play well as a unit but alone nobody dominates but the bigs!
