Thanks for another great workout and WOW 18 months of maternity leave is AMAZING! I had 0 time off. I am self employed and there isn't a program in the US for moms who work independently so I was working again immediately. I do have a somewhat flexible schedule so I feel grateful for that.

I'm almost desperate for my body weights that come back thrice after I lost all after birth and of course dealing with DR for 2 years with no progress. But then I found your video and try it for a week now, I do 2 set of this exercise a day along with some cardio dance. Guess what, I lost 2 kg already and I'm starting to build my confidence that I can lost all this tiring body weights. So thank you very much for sharing this video, it's easy enough to follow and I feel good burn on my muscles ,🥰

Hey, so are all the exercises in this video DR safe completely
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV 4 года назад
Hi Jyotika! That is really hard to say because severity diastasis recti can vary so much. If you have DR then you should avoid anything that causes any coning or doming of the stomach or pain. I saw a pelvic floor physio and these are exercises that were safe for me when I had a 4-finger DR gap, but each body is different. I also have quite a few physios that recommend these exercise videos to their clientele. Ideally, everyone would get an assessment by a physio, but I realize that is difficult and not possible for everyone. So these exercises should be safe for most, but you always have to listen to your body and only do things that are safe for you (and don't cause any coning or pain). If you aren't sure then modify or skip it just to be safe :)

Thank you for the reply. I been doing postnatal yoga since 2 days. Feeling great. Buy I get confuse sometimes when to inhale, exhale. Is postnatal yoga alone enough or this postnatal HIIT workout also include after doing yoga everyday or 1 day yoga, next day postnatal HIIT ? Max how many months do I need to follow to see the results? I am beginner level in exercise, that's why bombarding you with too many questions 😁 Please Apologize. Thank you
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV 4 года назад
Those are great questions :) Yes, I think alternating yoga with the HIIT workout is a great idea. Your fitness and energy should go up within a couple weeks and it may take 1-2 months for others to see differences. What if you just became someone who worked out ... in a year and the next year you would see incredible results. I find that most of my clients do better if they reward themselves for the process (ex. Workouts) rather than the results. The results will come if you stick to the process

@PregnancyandPostpartumTV
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV 4 года назад
Yes, it's designed to be safe for DR. Of course check with your doctor or physio if you aren't sure. There are varying levels of severity of DR so you want to make sure you don't do any movement that causes "coning" of the stomach.

@PregnancyandPostpartumTV
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV 4 года назад
Rizwa Manama Kavil It’s difficult to say because it depends on someone’s body size and will vary based on their current fitness level and how much they challenge themselves. Between 180-320 would be an estimate. I also don’t recommend subtracting calories from exercise as the newer research shows metabolism can change and it may not “justify” eating the extra calories if weight management is your goal.

Thanks for uploading the video however I just wanted to add some of my own feedback. I felt that there was a massive lack of instruction with the exercises. Especially for women who are training postpartum and have diastis recti, approaching these exercises without a minimum of instruction i.e keep your abdominal muscles tight/ keep your belly button drawn towards the spine can possibly cause possible harm to some women instead of assisting them in rebuilding their strength postpartum. Hopefully this will be considered as some helpful positive feedback and thanks again for the video.

This was brilliant... absolutely what I was looking for. My plan was to comment asking how to manage food but maintain milk supply but your links in the description box look like they will answer this! I had trouble immediately postpartum keeping on weight (postpartum thyroiditis/hyper) and my milk basically went away. Even now as my thyroid has normalized, if I’m Not careful with diet my milk goes down. I’m looking to let baby self wean, but now at the stage where I don’t need to worry as much... I just don’t want it to go away all at once! So glad you are putting out this info!!

Hi. I have been doing your videos since last one week. I have a two month old kid. I would really like to mention that your workouts are nicely paced. Not too much not too little. They give good amount of sweat without going overboard with the energy required. Thanks for this perfect balance. These small videos are a life saver for new mums .. keep up the good work. 👍👍👍

I enjoyed this workout! I like that there are no repeats. Also I am on my last week before I go back to work... my daughter is now 18 months! I also availed of the 18 months mat leave available to us Canadians 😊

Pregnancy and Postpartum TV bless you that will be wonderful! My main worry is my posture after baby and remembering shoulders back and tummy in 😊

Neil and Sophia Kee yes, that is important. My shoulder were so sore after from hunching while BF. I tried not too, but it was hard.

Thank you! These really do make me feel like I can get back to where I was prior to getting pregnant. And it is targeting my pelvic muscles and organs which feel so sore after this delivery this time around.
