I was born in 57 too, I was not thinking about the 80een's, but the 70een's. First Scotchs, first girls, first..., etc, etc... Oh, I am 🇨🇵, and in France driving is at 18 but alcohol at 16.😅

'59er here. The 70's, the era that fashion forgot! NOT!!! boys dressed liked girls, girls dressed like boys. Tank tops, platform shoes, bell bottoms, the mullet!... Homosexuality had been legal in the UK for 3yrs...The generation that gave you health and safety concerns 🤭. We marched for equal rights and fought for an end to racial discrimination, literally! The generation that thought mobiles would never catch on🤔.... Never dreamt I'd end up an old biddy banging on about the good old days... 🙃🇬🇧 rip Woolworths 😢

We got 2 of those for the entire 2,500 student high school I went to. No other high school in my district had the funding to have a computer lab. Each student got a booklet on how to write simple basic code and run a loop using "If" or "And" and that was it. We got ten minutes per student per week on those computers. Back in high school, I had an Apple IIc at home that I had with a modem. All the games were simply "choose your own adventure" books with extra choices and only in green words on a black background on the TELEVISION, no monitor included. I got the computer from a friend of my parents who built Radio Shack computer kits. He had the Apple and hated the coding for it, so he gave it to my dad, who had no use for it himself, so me and my brother got to mess around with it. The modem, you know the kind... lock the handset of your landline into the box and dial another house landline hoping their computer was turned on, too - or they were NOT using the phone right at that moment!

I remember a white guy in the eighties and nineties, always had a sort of facial hair , pointy sort of face , chubby . As soon as he appeared, you knew it wouldn’t be long before blood would be coming out his nose and mouth . Just thought you might know .

Me too (secondary). 😀 I think we were the last generation to grow up and finish pre-college education _without_ computers...or cell phones, for that matter. And, for myself at least, I'm so glad.
