Maybe the pine trees are not as sinister as you may think. They do provide shade on hot days. And they house many birds, squirrels and shit. I think since you see them so often, maybe that's why you dreamt of that instead of something like a palm tree. Most tree fruits you can just pluck and eat. But a potato always has to be prepared. Maybe there is something within yourself that you need to prepare before you can enjoy it. Dreams are odd.
