Froggy first scanned its databanks for information about the prey species. It then calculated how many termites there were, and balanced that against its current caloric needs. It then pondered the ethics of eating live prey and wondered whether the termites had been ethically acquired. Once satisfied that killing their prey was not sinful per se, but merely an unavoidable fact of life, then Froggy could start eating. Philosophy takes time.
For those who don't know, this is a bushveld rain frog, also known as the common rain frog. They have a pretty big range in southern Africa from northern Angola down to Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth. They live underground (they can dig up to 20 inches deep), only emerging to feed or mate after rain (as their name suggests) usually at night. Also as their name suggests, they only breed during the rainy season. *The more you know!*
STOP KILLING ANIMALS AND USING THEM FOOD FOR LIVE FEEDING IT IS ANIMAL ABUSE AND YOU ARE LEADING YOURSELF TO HELL ANIMALS GET KILLED EVERY SINGLE SECOND AND THEY GET ASSAULTED EVERY SINGLE SECOND. IT SAYS IN THE BOOK OF ENOCH THAT IF YOU TREAT ANIMALS POORLY YOU WILL BE JUDGED BY THEM. I USED TO BE AN ATHEIST JESUS TOOK ME TO HELL AND I saw people being tortured and burned in hell Jesus told ME THAT EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP ABUSING HIS ANIMALS AND YOU NEED TO PRAY THE ROSARY AND PRAY TO HIS HOLY MOTHER AND ST JOSEPH TO STOP ANIMAL ABUSE. GOD AND MARY TOLD ME THAT IT'S ANIMAL ABUSE TO FEED LIVE ANIMALS TO OTHER ANIMALS.
I love how the frog is like "*Yeah its probably food. I think. I dunno It moves. Man I'm hungry. Hope it's sunny out today. Whew I'm thirsty too. This sure is a nice bowl. Wish there was a breeze right now. Oh that little one just crawled over the big one haha. Gonna just take a step. Yep those are crawly things. Living their lives. Wonder what they dream. Oh right, food.*"
I have never seen a frog this small, round, and cute before! I usually don't like frog and they scare me, but this little one is the cutest frog I've ever seen! Everything it do look so adorable! 🥰❤️
These Small Cute Potato Fairies are the embodiment of "I have the recognition of a Flip Flop". That frog was Buffering for a good 50 seconds, then finally got moving and then was calculating whether that's Food. *These Frogs are too adorable*
@@marshallpainting6343 Compared to a human hand it's rather surprising! Kind of like putting a human next to a whale. You know the whale is big, but when a person stands next to it, it puts it in perspective.
I wonder how these things managed to evolve into this form without going extinct. They seem like the kinds of creatures that wouldn't survive out in the wild.
It was captive bred and is used to being served food and having no predators, and is well fed. The biggest creature it has ever seen never hurts it and brings it food, thus the frog has no fear and no rush to do anything.
They mostly live underground, where predators like birds and snakes can’t get them. They come out on rainy nights to eat and, in rainy seasons, to find mates.
Not only the big dummy takes so much time to even register that its food, but the insects are completely oblivious to their own magically disappearing one by one. This is just as cute as it is baffling to witness.
I wish I knew about these cute little frogs 20 years ago. Would of saved me tons of money if I had these little guys instead of having to have hire Terminex for our termite problem.
Took him over a minute to realize , oh yeah food … you can even see the moment he realizes it’s food time , then like 40 seconds later he starts to eat
Ive never even heard of a potato fairy. Poor things probably dont live too long in the wild. They cant really get away. Thank goodness this one has a house to live in. They are so cute!
actually they’re much better off in the wild than in captivity as it’s extremely difficult to replicate their environment indoors and even then keeping them healthy and stable is still very difficult i love videos of them because they’re so cute but it’s a shame they’re so hard to keep as pets :( i just hope the owners are taking extremely good care of them
Their real name is Desert Rain Frog, and they actually do pretty well for themselves in the wild. The burrow into the sand during the day, and at night just kinda waddle about looking for bugs. They're one of the few species of frogs that can't jump, and they also go strait from egg to frog with no tadpole stage. One of their most noteworthy traits is the mighty roar they make when threatened. ... And by roar I mean adorably fierce squeaking.
First, their eyes begin to burn as they slide down the gullet. Then, in a knee jerk reaction, they try in vain to scurry away as the frog's muscles force them ever closer to impending doom. At which point, their entire life flashes before their now disintegrated eyes. Writhing in pain, as their skin begins to slough from their body. With an elevated heart rate, their oxygen depleted, and experiencing seizures, the termite's brain goes through the last electrical impulses which make it's limbs twitch, as it succumbs to sudden death, and then it transitions from this world into the next... Wonder what they look like on the other side...
@@Quickened1 Ghosts.. That's what they look like , on the OTHER SIDE. And fyi, my comment was referring to how it felt TO THE FROG. Never questioned the death process of the termite. I think you got a little crazy with it. Js. 😵😵😵 May wanna chill a bit.
@@Styrofoamiskindabad My GOD people, it was joke!! Does no one have a sense of humor anymore?? Unbelievable. Thank you to those who actually get it and liked my comment!
@@missycitty9478 nah .. why chill? Common sense would tell you that they don't crawl around in the frog's belly. That was my way of saying, they're probably dead by the time they get there...lol If they look like ghosts, must be some tiny ones! If you were referring to how the frog feels, then perhaps being a bit more clear about that, saying, "I wonder what it feels like with them crawling around in his stomach," would be more appropriate... Speaking of sense of humor, that's what my previous post was... humor no?
Squeaks. Ferocious mighty squeaks signaling the impeding doom of any foolish enough to enter their territory. There’s a BBC short video of this frog. Commentary is hilarious.
I have never seen a frog this small, round, and cute before! I usually don't like frog and they scare me, but this little one is the cutest frog I've ever seen! Everything it do look so adorable! ️
It's like his little froggy brain takes a good minute to switch over from, "OMG!!! Master hand is trying to squish me! Engage puff-up defense!" to "Oh, look! Yummy!"
Man, I would love to meditate with those frogs. I bet they can meditate with the best of them; they can just sit there and stare at nothing for so long.
Seems like everybody should have a frog like this to bring some quality into his life. For me is clear, i need one now, it will be a game change for my future.
It's not like the rest of the frogs when it eats. The other frogs slap their tongues around missing. This is a ninja potato frog. The accuracy is impeccable.
My brain fully expected to hear the yoshi "blem" sound when he stuck his tongue out. I was mildly disappointed when that did not happen, but still very entertaining. 🤣
Termites: munching on some wood Rain frog: *Hippity hoppity, your wood is now my property* Termites: Well that's okay I guess- Rain frog: *AND YOUR SOULS!* Termites: Understandable, have a great day
