Thanks for sharing, it's fun digging in there to see what shows up. I grew potatoes for first time this year in a cardboard box and it worked fairly well. it was exciting.

What I’ve learned. I found that red potatoes do best. They need alot of regular watering like carrots. Alot of nitrogen on the front end. Hilling stimulates more potato growth even in pots. Also used twice the fertilizer amount this year with more success

Something about harvesting potatoes is so mesmerizing.. I’ve been doing potatoes maybe twice a year. We have a longer season here in Texas. I’m pretty sure you do too in the south so I’m already planning they’ve already been in the soil for sometime now. We are in a really bad drought here and they have put us on a water restriction. Tomorrow is my day so I will be watering. Everything really good and I am preserving water in a 60 gallon bucket and I have 5 gallon buckets all around. I’m only allowed to water Sunday and Thursday so I save my water so I can water in between those days but I did good and I do feel for me .,I did Pontiac red I did a deeper bucket I did do grow bags 2.,…55 gallon bucket that we cut in half and then a really big planter deep planter container. I did good so this time actually I planted more I’m getting ready to start garlic. I got onions growing all around. I started some bunch of onions, Egyptian onions and regular onions. I got a Ionger growing season..I really enjoyed your harvest everything counts. Everything is food. If you have time to turn around and start another set, I would do so the best things in homesteading and home growing your own stuff is them potatoes them tomatoes everything onions taste so good 🌱

Great harvest! We have a one acre garden. We grow three rows. Just for eating now. Not for storage. I’ll shred and freeze dry into hash browns for the next year. Any for mashed or baked, I buy. 😊

Don't chance eating green potatoes. Save them for seed next year.

My potatoes were awful. Might as well not have bothered😢
