“Keepin’ It Kool” is the second single from Potatohead People’s upcoming “Eat Your Heart Out” album. Opening with swinging drums, a Bill Withers-esque guitar lick and an earworm of a hook sung by the PP, the song opens up into beautiful R&B vocals from Vancouver’s Kendra Dias. Lyrically the song touches on two common & paradoxical relationship angles-thinking someone is playing it cool, while that person is only playing it cool to see the same interest back. Lovely string arrangements, classic organ, and throwback musical change-ups turn thesong into pure magic. “Eat Your Heart Out” hits everywhere on May 10th.
