As someone with Turner Syndrome this video makes me pissed. Its not as scary as they make it seem. Yeah you can have heart issues but planning and keeping up with doctors help.
I have Turner Syndrome, this headline is a bit extreme but there are many many health issues that can come with this syndrome, some explained in the video and some not
Turner syndrome isn't something that happens later in life. It happens in the womb even though some aren't diagnosed until after they are born. I was diagnosed at 9
I know two females with Turner Syndrome. One is an friend from college and the other is my niece. They both present Turner Syndrome very differently physically. The common characteristic they have is short stature.
@@ldee4127 i think it varies as much mentally as it does physically. My niece takes a long time to learn a process or a skill but when she does, said skill seems to never be forgotten. I taught her to parallel park one night and we didn't go driving for couple months bit when we did she did that park like she didn't skip a beat
@@vogelvogeltje my phobia is judgemental people like you. I was born this way. Something in your life made you feel like you have the right to look down on others. I hope you find happiness someday but I'm not letting you steal mine. I've decided I'm going to be an Aircraft carrier. It's the best of both worlds. Sadly you will most likely remain a bigot.
Beautiful my sister died at age 24 from an aortic valve burst. Spreading awareness is Amazing. Thank You ❤️ My sister was beautiful too. She had Turner’s Syndrome.
You sell fresh placentas full of blood for the stem cells and nutrients that belong to the baby just to create economy with cancer and mental illnesses.
So what you’re saying is....people should put kids in foster care and let people die of cancer and other various things....over a ball of cells someone didn’t even want?
Before birth Turner syndrome may be suspected prenatally based on prenatal cell-free DNA screening ― a method to screen for certain chromosomal abnormalities in a developing baby using a blood sample from the mother ― or prenatal ultrasound. Prenatal ultrasound of a baby with Turner syndrome may show: Large fluid collection on the back of the neck or other abnormal fluid collections (edema) Heart abnormalities Abnormal kidneys At birth or during infancy Signs of Turner syndrome at birth or during infancy may include: Wide or weblike neck Low-set ears Broad chest with widely spaced nipples The high, narrow roof of the mouth (palate) Arms that turn outward at the elbows Fingernails and toenails that are narrow and turned upward Swelling of the hands and feet, especially at birth Slightly smaller than average height at birth Slowed growth Cardiac defects Low hairline at the back of the head Receding or small lower jaw Short fingers and toes In childhood, teens, and adulthood The most common signs in almost all girls, teenagers, and young women with Turner syndrome are short stature and ovarian insufficiency due to ovarian failure that may have occurred by birth or gradually during childhood, the teen years, or young adulthood. Signs and symptoms of these include: Slowed growth No growth spurts at expected times in childhood Adult height significantly less than might be expected for a female member of the family Failure to begin sexual changes expected during puberty Sexual development that "stalls" during teenage years An early end to menstrual cycles not due to pregnancy For most women with Turner syndrome, inability to conceive a child without fertility treatment
Because it’s somthing that effects xx Chromosomes. I have turner syndrome and usually the second X chromosome is tampers with in some way I don’t really now how to explain it.
@@april-m5837the fact that it was used interchangeably is an agenda itself. Why would there need to be multiple words to describe the exact same thing then?
Rampant single motherhood, women filing 70% of all divorces, fatherless homes, tattoos, high mileage count, no longer able to pair bond due to the high mileage, etc. Oh and don't forget, plastic surgeries! Total sheet show.
Please do better research than a quick Google search. There has been a great deal of research and development done over the last 13+ years. The medical field has come to realize that not only girls can have Turner’s, but boys as well.
@Amy Thaler of course not! Men may have another similar condition. Women have two xx chromosomes (the lack of one of them is what causes TS) and men have X and Y chromosomes, so Turner syndrome itself only affects Women
Like everything else , there is a graph showing it sprinkled into every race ! Probably goes undiagnosed in pooer countries, don't ya think ?! Its just the west likes too diagnose and label everything !
