Patagonia 23/24
It has been 3 years since my last visit, so I was more than happy to be once again down here in the south, visiting friends, enjoying the easy life, and going into the mountains with @Colin Haley .
The first window we got was not an easy one as it snowed a lot beforehand, but as Colin knows the range like no other, we definitely found a very high-quality route to try. After a very deep and snowy approach, we set up the camp below the route.The Potter-Davis on Poincenot offers perfect splitters and an incredible roof pitch, a route that could be straight out of Yosemite.
I have never seen this range with so much snow, and it actually is even more beautiful like that plus we could climb the original start to the route.
Climbing such a route without using the headlamp in the morning, neither the evening is pretty special.
The hike out we did the following morning to make good use of the now frozen snow.
