Hi Steve - just down the road! I've recently been inspired by a trip to the British museum- mind blowing 3000 year old pots - incredible. Some slip decorated ones too with gorgeous patterns. Good luck with your project and thanks for watching. 😁

Hello there I'm from South Yorkshire, I've never used oxides before but I certainly will now after finding you and watching your video thank you for the info ,it has given me great inspiration . Ive only recently started hand building. I've only ever used slip with my many molds along with underglazes ,crystal glazes etc so this is new to me thanks again and I've subscribed too I'll be watching all of your tutorials 😘🤩
Thank you so much for sharing tips on oxides. Very important reminder to avoid cross contamination. I will keep that in mind. Viewing from the tropical sunny island of Puerto Rico.
Thanks very much for your video's. Very informative and easy to follow. I only make ceramics (as a hobby) for seven months and follow courses. Besides that, I have learned a lot by watching these video's. Kind greetings from Anita Muller, Hoorn, Holland.
Thanks for watching Felicity. That's another pin on my map - not sure I've had someone from Hong Kong before - hope you're enjoying my channel. Great to have you along.☺️
Thanks for the video, here in Washington State USA, I am creating bonsai pots for the Japanese black and red pines I grow and the oxides will hopefully give me the look I want, most pots we get here in the US are pretty boring Chinese pots with a single colorful glaze.
Hi Claire- thanks for watching. I shall be oxiding the sculptural poppy heads in part 2 of the video on the poppy tutorial. If you subscribe you'll see when this comes out- hopefully next week. 🙏
I am from South Carolina. Thank you for your wonderful instruction and for sharing your ideas. I am getting back into pottery after many years away from it. Handbuilding classes here are always full so will trudge on on my own. I am in a wheel class as this one always has room for me.
Hey Sharon and thanks for watching. Hopefully my channel will have lots of inspiration for you. Here's hoping you can get onto a handbuilding course soon. There are a few tutorials coming up over the next few weeks so keep an eye out for those. 😊
Hello from Cape Coral Florida US. Thank you for addressing the use of oxides. I feel like a mad scientist working with them. Please keep the videos coming!
Enjoying your videos from Tampa Florida area. It hit 93 here today. I am soaking up as much knowledge as I can on glazing there days so I learn a lot from your test tiles and kiln openings thank you!!
Hello Mary and thank you so much for your comments. 93 degrees is but a dream for us - the clocks have gone back as we head through Autumn. Still I guess that's more of an excuse to stay snug in the studio! More videos to come which I hope will extend your own knowledge. Thanks for watching. 😁
Thanks for a great video and tutorial! And greetings from a snowy Finland. I use Oxides and Sodium Carbonate on my stoneware. turns out really nice. The best thing with clay is that there are soo many different things you can do. Keep on posting!
