Pottery wheel throwing - tall vase with special clay

Doing some throwing of a lighthouse themed vase. Using some iron oxide enriched clay which makes it red, but when fired its a bit grey, looks nice though. Enjoy

It's so nice to wake up so something other than politics. Good morning Dug. A lighthouse eh? I can't wait to see it finished. I think we are nearing the end of 2 months of hot weather. I'm ready for the fall. I have been working on projects around the yards in the morning while it's still cool. I haven't touched clay in way too long. I've been dealing with skin cancer spots. Unfortunately one is on the back of my left hand. It's almost healed now so I can get back to my mud soon. All my younger years of sun bathing is starting to pay off before sun screen. I hope you are happy and healthy. Take care.

Hi Joan, the live stream last week didn’t happen due to a plaster disaster making a mould. But going to try it again tomorrow. Should be live for a few hours from about 11am UK time. Look after yourself and get back to the clay. I will do an update during the live stream on various projects, lighthouse is dry and looking ok.
