I grew up on Trestle Lane off Jamison Hill. There is a large stone trestle crossing over the Wappingers Creek there. My guess one of the lines used it connecting Clinton Corners with Stanfordville??
Yes- that was Poughkeepsie& Connecticutt RR. Went from Pok. just near the Creek Road crossing of the Poughkeepsie Bridge Route, aka New Haven...all the way out to Millerton. I've got it featured on another video. It ran very close to the Poughkeepsie& Eastern . Glad you're enjoying!
On the O n W north of Sidney is Mr Upton depot where on the north side of the depot os Lady Upton. She was a famous race horse around the turn of century. There is a nice marker there. And the Grafton and Upton RR.. Thanks
I used to drive around Dutchess county picking up and taking water samples and I was sure I saw a bunch of lost rail beds in my travels. These are some of them. By the way you saw Trout Lily at the 16 minute mark.
