It was cool hearing Steve talk about those whl years, that was a wild era. Deryk Engelland was there too, and people sleep on him because he didn't fight in Vegas, but trust me he was a killer back in the day.
By the time Engelland git to Vegas, fighting was very costly to the teams as they were trying to phase it out - he still played tough and was willing to swing if someone would start it
Mac was an extremely intimidating tough man. His size, strength, and his ability to throw both hands is what made him so tough. I really wish there was still a place for you guys in the league nowadays. There is nobody better than an NHL enforcer. The best guys in sports.

I'd love to see some old school enforcers/tough guys from the WHL. That league was insane, especially in the 90s early 2000s. Brad Ference, Kevin Popp, Kerry Toporoski, Scott Parker, Ty Jones, Chris Dingman, etc etc etc. Some absolute killers . Great work on this show. Love it!

This kind of heart and passion is so sorely missed in today’s NHL. All these enforcer types have such compassion for each other and their role. I feel like the league is full of showboating narcissists now.
Awesome interviews and reaction videos, John. I have a request. How about doing reviews of tough guys from yesteryear? I am a huge Islanders fan since the mid-70s. I'd love to hear your thoughts on guys like Gillies, Howatt, and Nystrom, but also their contemporaries. I know you did not fight those guys, but I'd love your reactions to their fight careers. Please keep the great videos coming. I have been a hockey fights fan from way back. I have hundreds of hours of fights from the 70s and 80s on VHS tape.
Scott I’ll be honest as a Bruins fan I hated you for the Thornton fight. I have gained a whole new respect for you over the years and these videos just show how much respect you have earned through players and fans alike. I would love to see you talk to Thornton and Mirasty.
Used to love steve. Would go to providence bruins game back in 08 every weekend and he would always rock somebody. Highlight of those game for me. A lot of good Boston bruins players were on the team back then too.
The last game I went to was a preseason game between the Penguins and Blackhawks and was thinking I'd see these 2 throw down. They had a conversation or two, but no go.
