I know up to 30 min. pour time and 24-48 hours dry time but what about ready to use/cure time? It was said "cure overnight"... Does that mean it is fully curred in 12-24 hours?
Is it possible to tile a table top and use this method to coat and cover? I was told the grout would mess it up. I have an OLD table I hope to upscale for our kitchen & thought epoxy resin over painted tile would be lovely.
This is definitely possible!! You just need to make sure that the grout is completely cured/dried before adding your epoxy resin! We would recommend doing a small test pour to see if you get any strange reactions - if you do, then you can use something like Mod Podge to seal it before pouring your resin!
Is this weatherproof? I’d like to seal a beer label on the top of a bourbon barrel the beer was aged in. Will this material damage the sticker? It’s similar to bumper sticker material. The barrel will be outside, so I’m curious how the resin holds up to the elements. Thanks.
As far as elements are concerned, resin stands up very well to them! The sun is a whole other topic - UV rays will cause your resin to yellow eventually. As for sticker material, you'll just want to seal it with some modpodge or Amazing Sealer before pouring your epoxy!
Yes, you could allow the resin to fall over the sides but you will still want to go around the edges and make sure that everything is covered - this can be done during the pouring/spreading part!
The tape is aluminum tape - it’s pretty thin bits it’s more sturdy than normal tape so it works great for a quick mold box! The epoxy we used is our Amazing Clear Cast epoxy - you can find it at www.Alumilite.com!
