Hey @RU-vid , how come there is nothing that seems to being done about the telegram scams that are posted by the thousands? It is difficult to keep up with removing them when they get posted hundreds at a time , anytime of the day and night. Seems like with all of these algorithms, that there has to be a way to stop this from happening?

It's EVEN HEATED! And a roof on top! Oh that would be heaven for me, first started wrenching on grass and gravel, now I've upgraded to a paved stone driveway. Still no smooth surface or roof above my head, but it's still nicer than on sharp gravel.

Tell me about it! I remember helping to split a tractor in the paddock to change the clutch, because we would have been crawling around in the dirt back home anyway, so why bother dragging it all that way when it didn't gain us better facilities. Different now. Now we have a roof, and a concrete floor, and an overhead crane. SOOOO much nicer.

Congrats, Matt. Pretty exciting day indeed! I remember the day we poured concrete in my pole barn like it was yesterday. It was raining cats and dogs that morning, but my concrete guys were working inside and paid no mind to the weather outside. The owner told me he had to keep a close eye on his finishing guy, because he'd keep going until he had a mirror finish if he didn't stop him. I wanted a little texture left because a bit of traction is a good thing when you come inside with snow on your boots or tires for that matter.

The smallest pour I've ever been on was 3 times the size of this one. The largest over 10 times as much. I've seen old guinnies bull floating that were older than that whole crew put together. And they'd been doing it their whole lives. They'd be out there with a white wash brush blessing the concrete with some water. Probably was holy water they were using. You have to bring up the fat.

I've set up pours for several slabs, a 2 foot wide by 6 foot tall by 18' long retaining wall, and a $13,000 driveway. Saves a lot of money when you just have to have the crew come out rather than them spending days on prep. Smaller slabs, it would just be me and the finish guy. The driveway had about 8 guys. I stayed out of the way for that one. Your concrete guys were amazing. I love the stress cuts they made and how they angle cut the floor drains. Perfect!

I've poured a lot of concrete and I wasn't so impressed. With that boom I suppose they didn't really need to pour in any pattern. The machine was doing the work for them. But if they did it the regular way with pipe and flex hose they'd have had to been more methodical about their moves then. Every piece of flex weighs 300 pounds when it is full. And you're dragging it. You have to be real careful when you drag it too otherwise it'll split open. Then you have to dig the clamp out of the concrete, wash it off and reattach the hoses. Which is less fun than it sounds to do. You have to stick your hand in the hose and dig the concrete out of the hose. It sucks!

I knew it was coming and I still giggled and then sang along. I work in the mining industry and I sing it every time I see someone doing something beyond questionable.

Here in Sweden they have banned ladders at construction sites. A majority of all work incidents was due to ladders being used, so now only scissor lifts or sky lifts are approved. Probably a good thing watching those gutter guys 😂

Dose anybody have a link to the video he was singing this jingle for the first time? I know it's when he was setting up his container shop but I for the life of me can not find it.

Matt!!! Your floor is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I can't express how happy I am for you that your dream is so close to being a reality. For years, I have watched you working out in the cold and snow and feeling so bad for you. It was my hope that your dream would turn out even better than you thought! I know there's still some work to do, but very soon now, you'll be working on your toys inside a nice warm shop, on a nice smooth cement floor instead of rocks. I'm sure that I'm not alone when I say this, but if there is anyone who deserves a shop like this, it's YOU!!! Your gutters are so nice, too. It's amazing how they do that. I watched them "make" our new gutters several years ago. It was fascinating. Congratulations on coming so far with your dream. It's almost there!!! YIPPEE!!!!

Totally getting the excitement about the concrete pour. That was me with every pour back at the farm. Felt so special to walk on a new concrete floor once it had hardened enough :) Can't wait for the whole place to be buttoned up so that it can be nice and cozy in there for the projects.

Love the shop Matt! The amount of prep you put in shows in the beautiful shop you produced. On the negative…I am not certain who your target demographic model is, but your music really wrecks it for this old man. I mentioned it before and you told me to turn my sound down. Ok, but I miss your commentary which is what we listen for. Take a poll and see what percentage of viewers like loud “power chords” played repeatedly. Thanks for listening.

It just reminds me that no matter what tech you use, no matter how good the crew is (and that looked like a great crew) pouring crete is back-breaking work and takes some skilled spotters, skimmers and pourers. Kudos to the crew, they were awesome.

To prevent erosion at downspout outlets I suggest that you dig holes and place cobbles or river rocks in the holes. You sound like a kid on Christmas morning, Matt.

Matt you did an amazing amount of prep work to get this floor ready for concrete. Between the in floor heating, wire mesh and overhead crane footings it was very impressive. You must feel so satisfied to see this pour get done, and just in time for winter. Looks great!

Hey Matt, that has been a long time coming. I remember when you dragged those 2 shipping containers onto the property and put a roof up between them. This is such a huge improvement over that. The diagonal stress-relief cuts are a nice touch too. Looking forward to the rest of the build and whatever comes after. Thanks for the video!
