Video of setting the house back down would be educational for those thinking of attempting the same thing. Your method of commentary lends itself to be beneficial to those wanting insight into your thought process as you continue forward one step at a time. Nice to get this behind you and that the downpour held off 😊. Looking forward to your next upload.
Trust me watching you build you house foundation is better than anything on TV. I have dabbled in this before but not this much and not basically by myself. It's quit an undertaking. Thanks for taking us along for the ride and hopefully future videos.
Thanks for sharing.....yes it is pretty kool.....for us youtubers who find this content so much more refreshing than the traditional TV. Keep up the good work and know that you are appreciated. God bless you and your family.
I think it’s just wonderful that you managed all the family to still live in the house right the way through the project. That was your cleverest achievement 👍
We all like every detail, so keep filming!! This channel needs to grow so you can offset your costs! We’re looking for normal diversions in this crazy world to maintain our sanity, so everyone wins with your content!
Great job ! you sure took your time in the planning which paid off in the end! Let's see the lowering of the house , very interesting. All us DIY guys learn a lot watching these videos.
Enjoy every episode, fantastic job. Some folks don't get how many details there are to manage for it to come out right and not turn into a castrophe. You've done great and deserve a high five. This is the begining of light at the end of the tunnel.
It's very cool when people do significant modifications to what is a fairly modest home, essentially upgrading it to substantial homestead. The love stays, and the reflection of a better quality of life is incorporated.
Yes please show all the processes I find it fascinating …when I was younger my Dad moved our two story farm house about five miles and we lived in the house while up on large Timbers fir two weeks so I am familiar with what you are living through ..really enjoy your videos, Thanks
@@alanpurdy703Homeowner said towards end of commentary that concrete had been vibrated. Was also a concern of mine as I watched that he was possibly compromising some aspects of the build by not vibrating concrete to prevent air pockets forming!
Please do post video of setting the house back down. I find this project fascinating and would like to see that big milestone, as I'm sure a lot of other people would too.
Pump truck driver was very skilled! Great video as always. As for posting a video of you lowering the house, please do. I’m totally invested in this series and think what you are doing is incredible.
I was nervous watching the video, because I know how intimidating a huge project is when you start it. But, so rewarding when accomplished, and all the money saved. Great job!
Of course we want to see the house being set down! We didn't come all this way to not see that! 😂 Great video and happy that you're one step closer to completion. Curious about that little snippet of vintage video footage at the end...
If you know the PSI formula of the mix from the batch plant you can do some calculations on curing times, but the safest way is to talk to them, as they are the experts on curing times of their batches. Most concrete only reaches it full compressive strength after 28 days of curing in the right conditions. After 7 days, the concrete will have already achieved around 75% of its compressive strength, but that last 25% can be very important, depending on the mix you used and the loads it will have to carry.
You worked very well with the pump guy, access definitely made that look tricky. I'm waiting to see an ICF house be built near me, haven't seen it yet but it just seems like such a logical way to build especially given the insulation requirements new buildings now have.
Being an Excavating contractor. I definitely enjoy watching your video. I think it's a big project to undertake and you guys are killing it well thought out. Looking forward to seeing the house video being set back down new construction backfill I'm here for all of it
Well Duh! Of course your fans want to see every part of this construction. So show the house setting back down, the basement floor pour, the setting of beams and joist, etc! We love it. I know it takes a lot of filming and then editing to produce the videos for us to watch but totally worth it. Man, I know you are so tired from all that work and the stress you were feeling while doing it, but it worked out and looks so great. You did all the planning and setting up everything for it to go well and it did. I believe you are from the Hartville, OH area and I have been there. Wish I had been there to help you with this project. Looking forward to the next video.
Dude that is so cool. My dad has done it twice. One was 100 year old farmhouse and the other an almost new house built in the 80s. We never actually had to lift the houses but still jacked them up to build a new foundation underneath. The 80s house was transforming a crawlspace into a basement
This is by far the best video series on youtube, we definitely want to see every step. the longer the better, i never imagined that would take 35 yards, keep up the great work sir.
You could run the waste water pipes the shortest way across the house, under the floor separation towards the workshop building and make a downspout/cleaning well (we call it a splash) outside the foundation, to minimize the noise from the drain and then lay the sewer line in the ground, with a minimum drop, to get self-cleaning lines.
I like how you take us along for the ride, it’s educational and you are good at explaning your thoughts. Keep the videos coming please, even if it’s a ”small” thing. Shout out from Sweden. 🤓👍🏻
Congratulations on a successful concrete pour. That's always something that needs to be celebrated, especially when it's a huge milestone like this one! :) Looking forward to the next step!
You have taken on a big project but your doing a great job . Getting the concrete poured is major at a boy. It's good to see a man with confidence and not afraid to take on a big project. I always new that I had as much since as the next guy more than most ,I didn't let not having done something stop me from trying .enjoy your vetos keep up the good work.the hard parts done
Man yes any thing you do please please record it and share it with us I can’t speak for everyone but I love watching stuff like this and thank you for what you do share with us
Man love the videos. I have to imagine how much work you have put it but it's looking great and you have probably saved 100k or so in labor cost alone. Keep up the good work.
Yes very informative of how the whole process is being done. Great video. Congratulations on the pour. Yes would like to see the progress of lowering the house. Please video all the progress, valuable lessons to see.
Wow what a huge undertaking; very impressive. Yes please do a part or full video on dropping the house back down. We are finding your entire project very interesting thank you. All the best from Perth Western Australia.
We just turned on this video!!🎉😲🎉... So very glad that all went well!! I was a nervous wreck just watching. So very glad you got this step done successfully!!! Whew 😅😅
