I've NEVER added weight to any of my boats.you move the motor esc battery's.adjust the strut ,shorten or lengthen turn fin .adjust your wings.try a lifting prop
Yes. I hate adding weight. But had no other option. Cog 3 inch’s behind the fin. For hydro really needs to be 1-2 inch’s behind the sponson. Center of fin. Battery was max out going forward in the battery location. Strut was set to 30 mm. 10 mm deeper than the height of the trailing edge of the sponson. Lifting prop sure would have helped. Blow overs were not really the issue. More the turning at speed. It’s very common with 1/10 scales to add weight. The rear wings are 8 oz on the tail off setting Cog as well. Hard to compensate to a bad Cog of the hull. Weight was the only option.
Yes, if that was an option, I would’ve done that definitely. Unfortunately with the framing of the hull as to the bulkheads there is no access point to get into the sponson tips. Sponsons are completely sealed with no access. Drilling was the only option
