A chef is pretty exclusively seen as someone who leads a crew of line cooks. This is diner food, truly nothing "special" and he is never ass-slammed in the weeds with more tickets than he could ever possibly get done. He does a VERY VERY good, borderline excellent job in his execution, but what he is doing here, any good pro cook with a couple years experience could do. Sorry to nit pick, but being a chef is a whole different universe.
@@thisisgettingold If we summarize what a chef does, MrT also plans meals and does precook, like a chef, some of his videos are meals inspired in different cultures with the ingredientes he has at hand. As you say, a chef "is seen" as someone who leads a crew in the kitchen, but if you think being a chef means only that, then you don't know what a chef is because being a chef means a whole different universe than you think.
Love the videos! Always interesting to see the difference of food being served from here in the U.S to there. I would be going up for seconds if I worked there.
That looks wicked. I just brought myself a counter top flat plate like what you were using. Or griddle what ever they called. And your the reason for that haha. You’re so calm and it’s inspiring. Merry Christmas bro.
The woman's voice "oh look!" when the cheese sauce gets drizzled on the sammie -- priceless! I hope it was good -- it looked delicious. Love Mr. T and I'm jealous of everyone who is a patron.
lol. I had to notice...you got a bit more "carefree" when the people were getting word of these sandwiches and how good they are. You started out making 1 at a time and they were all exactly alike and perfect.....then, the line started rolling in and it was GO TIME! lol. They still look great and you did an awesome job. I assume that is bread dipped in an egg wash with some sort of spices b/c it is red...Pepperoni, green leaf veggies, tomatoes, mushrooms and ham and of course the cheese. What is the sauce put on the fist bun?
This cantina is lucky to have this great chef. Most cantinas don’t even come close to how good of quality this food is and fresh ingredients. Great job.
Do you work at an airport or is there just a ton of construction workers where you work. Love the videos btw! Started watching yesterday and can’t get enough of them!!
I love that bread, I missed it real bad when I moved from Germany to UK and couldn't find it anywhere so would get loads when I went on holiday to Germany, usually got enough to fill up 2-3 drawers in the freezer but that all changed when I discovered them for sale at some supermarkets. Really odd how they are all of a sudden available in the UK lol. I am aware there are similar breads but they aren't the same, a shame I still not found a bread like paderborner bread. If I ever found that in the UK I would die lol.
In germany we call it Arme Ritter (poor knights). i always made them with cheese and ketchup, but never with other ingredients. I should try that sometime.
i usually put a clean towel over the side were the egg and flat top starts, helps with the cleanup if things get too busy at the end of service. Interesting sandwich!
very confused viewer from USA lollll. are these double layer french toast sandwiches with mushrooms and ham and nacho cheese sauce? always admiring your smoothness in the kitchen but still getting used to the food haha
Hi, yes, double decker French toast sandwiches, with ruccola, tomato, bacon chorizo or mushrooms (or mixed), and cheese sauce (double cream, cheese, cumin, oregano, turmeric). I like to come up with unusual ideas, and because I've been cooking for these customers for years, they are willing to try almost everything, because they no it will be tasty 👌😀👍
