Did you use to work at PJs? Every time you start the dough you start with the technique we were trained with (with fingers interlocked) but then you stop yourself and form the crust using a different method
Mann I love the attention to detail haha and yeah I worked there back in 2014 for a little over two years. We don’t have a steel table for the dough to slide when you interlock so I start my initial with it and one hand it cause we use a wooden board.
@@Chop_Chop_Chop. Interesting, yeah all I'm used to is that metal table. I worked at PJs for 10 years before I left. The quality on these pizzas looks so much better tho
@@deebly_goncerned man that's cool you're a whole veteran then lol and yeah not to shit on PJ's but these are far superior, it's honestly the stone oven we use that makes them so good.
I would get fired if I still worked at Papa Johns.. buuttt I work in a grocery store, where I can take my time because it's not "fast food." We're typically not that busy and pizzas like this are made by the slice. Thanks for watching 👍🏾
good question, this helps remove some of the cooked flour at the bottom of the crust your hands won't get that black char look as much when you pick up a slice.
Ya know ill never agree with anyone putting a vegetable on a pizza. Aside from the tomato sauce and if it has some sort of pepper or chiles. Thats it. Your topping choices should only be meats. Pepperoni sausage maybe ham. Then certain types of melty cheesed. Mostly mozzarella but you can stretch for a blend if you want. Deep dish or thin doesnt matter. Here in indiana we have a very popular staple called pizza king and its not like new york style or chicago deep dish. One things for sure. If you go to italy and go to an authetic pizza place that sometimes are hundreds of years old. You wont find spinach and for damn certain brocolli and putting chicken on a pizza is considered blasphemy. Everyone's got an opinion on whats the best. But me personally its the same as cheeseburgers. If you cant enjoy its taste with nothing but cheese and need a ton of other crap to add flavor. Then your doing something wrong. Now there is one exception in some places which is the sausage mushroom and Pepperoni pizza. However thats it. But one things for certain. Pineapple or any fruit really is diagusting
Some days we really don’t have alot of orders so I take my time. This in itself is an artform and therapeutic for me. We wear gloves to keep ppl safe 😊
