I haven't watched the whole vid yet. You got into that first one so late, had to drop straight down rather than angle in, did a long gouging bottom turn to squeak in just under the lip and made it. Amazing surfing, Nate. I can say with 110% certainty that I surf vicariously watching you. There's 0.00% chance I would even consider paddling out at a spot that gnarly. @@Terencehogben I imagine on this day at that spot, that everyone out there was familiar with each other, so there was probably some level of trust and as well as an agreement that there would be towing and paddling... from what I understand, at most spots, if people are paddling for waves, then there is NO towing, usually.

What’s the etiquette for towing when others are paddling? Towing is such an obvious and unfair advantage, you can get any wave you want. Back in the early days of towing it seemed like people were only towing when it was too big to paddle, but the limits a of padding have been elevated and now I’m seeing more and more days with both groups in a lineup. It feels in pour etiquette to tow a wave when there are paddle surfers out, like if I started towing in at 10ft pipe it would probably be very frowned upon, but in other lineups such as here at Shipsterns, in Tahiti, or at Mavericks for example it seems more tolerated.
How do you hold on to your GoPro, jaws of steel? Anytime I eat it, even on like head high waves, I get a full sinus flush and it feels like the air is getting vacuumed from my lungs.
I am only just starting to catch up on so much footage i didnt even have time to get out haha! So doing current stuff from north shore and stuff i wasnt able to get out from travels! Double uploads!
