sam Lara Hey there Zoner, much love firstly, secondly skim boarding is harder than surfing, skating, skiing, rollerblading, etc. These guys are not actually human. I would suggest buying some swim fins and a boogie board as well as a skim board. If you fall skim boarding you can break your wrist. Riding waves like a normal person might be more fun. Of course you might be a prodigy like these freaks of nature, hope you can get some good ones.

If the bottom of my board is rubbed down to where you feel the roughness of the fiberglass in some spots a lil worse than others, Should I put a new finish on it or is it not a big deal? Ps. I bought it used

James Drn James Drn I know these guys are super skilled no doubt but the waves are way better. The ones near me “Carolina coastal” are just so choppy a terrible. Even if I practiced everyday I don’t think I’d make much progress haha. Foamy boards are a no go here unfortunately.
