I was hired by Amazon and when it was time for me and like 3 other people to start driving they said they had a lot of driver already and that was day 1 ..day 2 we was on stand by ..day 3 they said it wasn’t a lot of routes ..I was like nah I’m good I went and started working some where else ..I think it’s a good part time job but it shouldn’t be your only job because a lot of times they will pull that on people

Love your ambitious style. Just gotta say though right off the bat, every DSP is run different. Mine started great... now they just money hungery arses. You wanna go quick but not break yourself? Hey I get 170 -190 stops in my area. Doesn't seem a lot to others...but hey it's Coachella valley x.x Anyways... if you can, take a 5-10 min stop BEFORE you hit your first delivery. Gas station or which ever, get your ice, snacks, restroom morning break. 1st stop (and for every tote you break loose after), if you have a van with shelves... all boxes in driver number order.. place the stickers out to you so you can see them. Envelopes, you can either take time to numerical order them or just in piles ex: 600 to 610, 611 to 620s etc.. (driver number is the 3 digit number that's next to the 3D or 2C stuff ) That why you can grab and go. Easier in a rental van... they can't track your engine idle or seat belt shit (as much as they want you to think they can) Throw al your packages from one tote in the front with you in a rental. Boxes on the seat with the yellow tag gave you. Then order your Envelopes in the floor space between driver seat and passenger"

Rescues are done after your route.. Usually if your route is dropped due to to many drivers or not enough routes, the 'left over' drivers do Sweeper routes... Sweepers pick up stops from reg drivers that day and it doesn't count against them. Rescues happen later in reg drivers routes day... that is if they are falling behind or split routes, or ya'll just have extra ppl that finish early. SOMETIMES if you are the one getting rescued too often... not a good sign unfortunately.... but an easy fix if you ask

Congrats bro!! No stress, if you’re just starting they’ll put you on baby routes first. You’ll start either like 5 bags. Should take you until bout 230p no way they’ll put you on full when you’re just starting. You’ll get at least 3 weeks of nursery routes before you get the big load!

do you plan on moving to a different package company like UPS or FedEx eventually?

Hey great question! Yes, my plan is to do some time here and hopefully transfer more north here in California whether it be with another Amazon company or maybe hopefully UPS or FEDEX but we’ll see where life takes me lol

Sorry one last thing ANYONE thinking about posting stuff for delivery stuff ... I dunno how your DSP works... including you Martin... we've had ppl fired or suspended for 'under investigation' for posting in my area... so just be careful.

Thank you for the tips Ashley!! And for the advice and info that you provided! Yeah still learning a lot on my end! I’ve tried organizing at my first stop a few times but when I did, they’ve told me I fell behind schedule so I stopped doing that lol I thought it helped my time but apparently it messed it up! In my area the average stops we get is about 150-160 stops and that’s with apartments (which takes the longest cuz 90% dont have the lockers and we have to do door to door 😑)nonetheless thanks also for the heads up on posting. I’ve had a few people give me some tips if I was gonna post about what I do! I appreciate it!! Thank you so much for stopping by the channel and dropping these comments! I appreciate you!

@martinmanaoat989 at first for organizing at first stop, yeah you'll fall behind. But you'll pick up speed quick a little later in your shift. (I never get rescued unless i beg for one...) I usually end up only getting 30-50 stops done before I chose to clock out for lunch. But so long as it's your regular route you should be fine and comfortable enough to pull up your map and check to make sure they aren't backtracking you as well. I stop at a gas station EVERYDAY before I hit my first stop. I need my sodie!!! And I've not been bothered ... if they're being stingy about it... So I know I look behind on dispatch screen... but if you have a reg route, you'll pick up quick. Don't let them stress you out. They're just sitting behind a screen in a air-conditioned warehouse. Once you unload that first tote and organize it to what makes sense to you, you'll be flying. I have annoying arse apartments with stairs too... the map in your flex app is your best friend. Yeah you'll have to tote hop ...annoying... but you'll get it down. Wish I could talk to you in person though. Would be easier to explain. Otherwise yer doing good, don't let your dsp dispatch bully you

@martinmanaoat989 btw my average stops where I'm at is about 170 -180 not including group stops... they've v had x me on that shit in a damn rental I couldn't walk through (rental vans have a gated wall from can to cargo area x.x)

The trick is to not take the 2X 15 minute and don't take your half hour. It's competitive. Eat while you organize and such. This way, you are a base of at least 20 up. Then you don't have to feel rushed and such, also as you progressively get better, you should end up 25-35 stops up over time, memorizing routes and such. Also, skipping your break can help save time for your mistakes, if any. Also, if you finish early, you get to rescue usually, and that's another hour plus of work, plus appreciated. Another key this is handling your vehicle. Make sure obviously not to speed, but accelerate fast and work on breaking, getting a deeper vision for when stops are coming. Don't take 30 seconds to get to the speed limit when stops are only 1-2 apart. Also, go 5 over all day, carefully. You know you do it irl. Also, all delivery services are competitive like this. Don't assume ups or FedEx are better. You dropping off envelopes rn, be greatful it isn't large furniture 🙌

No lies told here I do about 45-50 stops in an hour but I organize 3-4 bags at a time plus I run or do a lil jog it is a really competitive job and my coworkers and I will always try to be the first back and at the top of the sign out sheet also learn how to use your rabbit it saves you unnecessary returns to streets you’ve probably been to already you’ll get better it takes time and a lot of trial by error

@@jasondunn9866Deng bro you’re quick lol! Thanks for the tip! As far as organizing, I used to organize at my first stop but I got told, I was falling behind schedule a few times when I did it. I don’t organize now and it’s ok, but where we deliver people live up hill and we aren’t allowed to drive up the drive ways and a lot of em also live with like 30 stairs to the front door lol! I do my best to be quick at this point but at the same time, I’m not gonna kill myself over this job ya feel? If they rescue, it seems they try to make me just under 9 hours and try not to reach 10. and if they don’t, that means I’m getting more hours lol! Right on for the comment homie! And stopping by the channel and good luck at your dispatch!!
