POV: Support for Dreams PS4 ends this Year

I was scared this would happen. Dreams hasn't garnered a colossal sized following so i didn't expect them to be extensively involved with the platform. But im happy Four Seasons us still standing. And most of all im happy your getting into game deving!

Even if the servers shutdown and we don't get anymore updates, dreams could still have a second life through animations and short films on youtube or other sharing platforms. The creation tools are always going to be available to use, its just that not many people know about dreams and it's almost limitless capabilities, and most people who do know about it just choose not to utilize the game to it's fullest potential.

Hey Elca, IDK you youll ever see this to the fact that I just saw this vid from like 5 days age but yeah, I apologize man. that just sucks. I know this will deter you a bit but Im glad your still going! I only got a PC at the moment and know that I probably wont be able to play, however your created a open world game that I dreamed of playing for avatar for years and thought it'll never come. Heck you inpiried me to plan to make my own avatar game! I will always support you bro and help in ANY way I can! heck if you look ingfor game designer help Ill can help!

I hated the prize bubbles. In "Art's Dream", some of them were so hard to get.

The worst ever is when you finally establish yourself and the odds always makes it so that it never EVER goes our way… EVER. But there is a ray of sunshine, Jak and Daxter has a PC port called Open-Goal/Jak project

That honestly sucks that there hasn't been a way to release game creations outside of dreams. Like... at leeeeast let us release them to PSN store...

It's always the actually good stuff going away too soon and not the garbage tbat deserves it like FIFA or other live service BS...

It’s tragic, I’m still gonna practice with it but I’m gonna go after getting myself a compared and work with software like blender and unity, or unreal

i may be wildly misunderstand or underestimating smthn here but could you create several really big "dummy" files to increase your "current storage use" and then go back an edit those into something useful after the server change occur. thereby effectively giving yourself more then 5GB of new storage?

I don't really understand the part of you saying that you can't make "Four Seasons" in Unreal. You said something about NDA, but do you have an NDA with Dreams or something, because that doesn't make sense since you announced that you're working on a game. Check the contract with a lawyer cause it sounds like you got screwed over. Also, the thing about that you're also not able to make it in Unreal is because you can't sell it, but that doesn't make sense since "Four Seasons" was already ment to be free. Nickelodeon will probably do nothing if you release a free fangame. I'm like 95% sure about this, because you're already making money of "Four Seasons" on Dream. Can you maybe explain it a bit more

Elca, you can always export the models and rebuild the game in Unreal Engine with a RPG plugin. That way you will not be limited to one platform (PS4), and you can create the game a truly open world, not level based. HMU if you want help

Only browsed some creations after release and then stopped opening the game.. Seeing all these amazing looking creations shown in the background, makes me feel bad for not sticking around longer. :(

I've been waiting for this to finish before buying Dreams so there's something I need to ask. Can users download creations, or is it fully dependent on the server? Because I want to know if we'll still be able to play 4 seasons (if by then it's already done) after the servers go down or not.

Your video title is misleading. Spreading gloom. Support is not ending Dreams will simply no longer be live-service, but it will be like any other "finished" game (that people still buy & play years after launch). Servers stay up. Bug fixes still done. They'll keep doing MM picks, in-game curation, Impsider, etc. It just doesn't evolve any more Still a GREAT, unique game, and a criminally under-priced bargain If it goes to PS+, its best years may be ahead of it Albeit missing some features it was supposed to get
