I also like world trigger for a similar reason. It’s a complete shift on the main protag. In world trigger the mc is weak and stays weak and relies on others and strategies, and this is a similar thing when the protag is so different

Takemichi got bland and repetitive and wouldn't give up on someone who wasn't worth saving, and Itadori is a better fighter not a better character when it comes to relatability

@@loxione210 That’s the thing about Takemichi, in the beginning he didn’t really care much about people, he was just a nobody in society. But throughout out the storyline, he manages to grow a new mindset even if it means losing or dying. I could go into more details, I know he’s not the best character but just to say he is bland is a bit blind and ignorant.

Its called inspiration bro and not to mention sugishita and baji have major differences in personality and character.

@@M2sbah Yeah, I know Baji and Sugi are different when it comes to their personalities; I'm smart enough to understand this most basic thing. And I won't have minded this inspiration if Sugi was somewhat interesting and fleshed out like Baji. Baji's just so goated that I don't even know how to feel when I see Sugi. And having the same birthday and the same sort of entry/introduction? that's a bit too much.

I'm sorry but Sakura isn't that likable either. I read so many manga up until now (both shojo/josei and shonen/seinen) and I've seen so many tsundere characters (both male and female) that it's not even funny anymore. When Sakura was introduced and he showed his tsundere personality onscreen, I was like "Oh, so he's that kinda character... acting all rough on the outside but is actually soft on the inside...". And for some reason, his personality annoyed me. All the flashbacks of reading manga about tsundere MCs started haunting me and that trope ain't my cup of tea anymore. Whenever Sakura yells or hits someone, I can't help but roll my eyes at his attitude. I'm like "Boy, get your sh*t together. You're not even that cute." 😒 Also, not to mention that Baji-looking ass Sugishita bruh... The fact that Wind Breaker's mangaka is a massive fanboy of TokRev and Ken Wakui to the point he created a character who looks similar to Baji (which is Sugishita) and they share the same birthday which is November 3rd 😐 And not only that... the fact that Sugi's intro happened by throwing a punch at MC just like how Baji was properly introduced when he punched Takemichi. Like bruh, be more original!! 😭

The thing is with Choji is that he’s not either of what you said. This is the entire point of the series. To understand that these punks and delinquents are human. Choji is one of the best examples imo. He seems unhinged and insane but you just learn that’s because he’s so hurt on the inside. Once Umemiya helps him grasp that you can see he’s a good guy at heart. He wants to fix things. Make it right. So just saying he’s some op psycho is wildly incorrect. I could tell you others too. Like god
