@@Rusli1659LPSoldier this is my second year working for them. I usually have to set up and do all the maintenance just like Matt does for Luke and then souncheck. So it’s daily that I set it up, the whole 9 piece kit gets set up and torn down daily.
Enjoy hearing you doing voiceovers during set ups, etc. Gives better context to all of your prep work and why you do certain things. Really enjoy the channel, looking forward to what's in store this year.
The OG is back! I don't know if you know (which I think you do) but you've inspired so much drum POV content over the past months is insane. Good for you! Hope everybody is giving you the shoutout.
Start-to-Finish crew 🤘🏼 I like that you're talking a bit more in this one, I usually half-watch longer videos while also doing other stuff so having more to listen to is always a good thing.
Having seen you play Zombified for every crew jam, and the clips of Luke playing it finally made me go look up the song. Now I'm gonna learn it haha -A Member of the Start to Finish Crew 🤘
Dude, thank you so much for this video. For amateur drummers, it's a dream come true to get behind the scenes of big bands. I'm already looking forward to the next video. And it plays 🤘🤘🤘
Super fucking rad to see one of your POV videos from my hometown! Love it! From one touring guy to another, you this is some Start To Finish Crew here.
Watched it till the end, very cool of u doing this 🥁!! I always watch the drummers, but never really seen what happens behind the scenes .. very cool 🥁!!
Welcome back. As someone who toured off and on for thirty six years and has been retired from the road for just over five years, these videos given me just enough of the venue vibe to satisfy the urge to go back. Thanks for sharing with us all. Cheers...
First time catching your videos...loved it. I'm an old retired dude now but was a drummer in local bands around St. Louis in the 90's. Looking forward to more of your posts. Great job, all the way around.
I made it through the whole thing. Then again I'm retired IATSE local #193 out of Peoria Illinois, so this all brings back so many memories of a whole bunch of shows!!!
Outstanding video. I really enjoy watching you. Just brings back memories when i did it for a band in the late 80's and early 90's in Arizona. I really appreciate everything you do.
Oh!! So glad I came across this video. This is so interesting. Can’t wait to check out your other videos. Already getting the vibe that you guys are the unsung hero’s.
I know Disturbed has been memed on for forever, but I’ve been diving back into their old stuff for a few months. While the drumming is nothing super complex, it’s super fun to jam to. I remember a friend in hs giving me a Walmart bag full of their discography around the time I started drumming. Indestructible is such an incredible album
How am I just now finding your channel. Insta- suscribed at 10:40, lol. I'll be glued to it from now on. Everything about your production is top notch, especially for a one- man gig. Thanks for all of the commentary. Ive been backstage too many times to count, but almost exclusively post- show. I dont have the contacts, nor the $$ to do that any more, so this is a real treat, my man. P.S. - see you Wednesday in Austin 🤟
Love these vids a lot. I normally just run them on repeat for ambience but lemme tell ya. Falling asleep to Disturbed soundcheck and waking up to DMCA-proof bird sounds is a trip.
Always a Start to Finish crew member. Man I love these videos! It was super cool to see you interact with David and give us a look at Mike's kit. This is a great look into the hard work that goes on so we can experience live shows. Thanks for shooting these videos. We need more techs to do this sort of thing.
Matt, I've worked in concert security for about 20 years and seen most of the sets from back stage, but this is a cool video. Thanks for putting it out
I watch all the videos until the very end, can't miss a second. Makes me wish I could be a drum tech. I missed the boat with being a drummer in a touring rock band, but I still love everything about drums and would love to drum tech for a touring band. I'm living vicariously through you man!! LOL
I loved this so much. I hope to one day be able to drum tech like this. Gotta figure out how to network my way in lol. Definitely went through this start to finish. I appreciate you sharing.
Dude I love your videos and always look to more. I've always love behind the scenes with concerts live events from metal, to wwe, nfl, nba everything in entertainment. Thank you for all the hard work you and your fellow crew members do as us fans appreciate it. Thumbs UP and shared ALL THE TIME BROTHER from start to finish. P.S. I do enjoy the commentary as it adds more spice to your videos. Can't wait to see the next one. A++++ : )
I would be interrested in some more background details. Like venue size.. time tables for you, when you really start and finish. Thanks for the great content🎉
Welcome to my home away from home, Matt! I've had OKC Thunder season tickets since day one. My seats are behind the stage tarp above stage right. I live 100 miles away in Tulsa and drive to attend as many Thunder games as possible. #ThunderUp
8:16 Don't underestimate your audience, I'm sure there's more than 2 of us that got the EFT joke, personally found it hilarious. And honestly feels sort of fitting too!
Definitely START to FINISH! Even a few replays lol. The food options on this tour looked a little larger than a few of your previous videos from last year. I’m usually only eat once a day but that breakfast spread didn’t look too bad. That lunch/dinner definitely looked nice. Sucks about all the Bus issues. That Pearl rack mount kit is massive. I’ve seen a lot or rack mounts but it’s insane. I’ve always been surprised that the trailers the gear is carried don’t have the ability to cool and heat the interior. When my uncle was touring they showed me how big cold and heat differences can affect the sound of the drums, guitar.bass, fiddle, steel guitar and piano (with the exception of electronic). It amazed me the difference in sound. Really see,so it would make y’all’s job easier especially when it comes to tuning as well as make the band happier as they get the sound their use to. Subscribed to David Nesters Drums RU-vid just now. It’s cool you got to sit behind the Disturbed drum kit.
Great content. Brings back some happy memories when I was "local crew" in the Tampa area (Bayfront arena, Tampa Stadium, Sundome, Lakekand civic center) throughout the 90's. I was just a stage grunt or runner, nothing spectacular but it did make for some great stories.
love this. when I workef for epic records, I used to go out with the band and sit feet away from the drummer for parts of the show, incubus, Korn, good Charlotte, to name a few. nothing like. it. carpe diem!
Definitely part of the Start to Finish crew, so stoked that FIR is on the Disturbed tour, can't afford to go but its still awesome :D Also, custom lazy susans, hell yes !
