Haven’t driven the new GLS but it’s seemingly heavy and doesn’t has sports mode; X7 on the other hand drives like how a BMW should, very dynamic and always puts a smile on my face but at higher speeds the realisation of its size pops up, it’s a behemoth at the end of the day and not some BMW ///Ⓜ️ line car. Comfort wise I suppose both are coequal, X7 offers captain seats though while the gls has bench second row seats. X7 also has many standard features which are options in other cars like soft closing doors. From my perspective X7 is vfm.

I have only experienced the 30d DPE signature X7, no doubt M50D is the most powerful they have built. But comparing Diesel and petrol , 40i might be slightly more aggressive than the Diesel 30d. Whatsoever, don't think it's noticable to average drivers. Talking about the 30d its pretty aggressive, power on demand 0-100 real quick. Also depends on how you pedal it to the metal. If I really want to experience G-Force, I just put all settings on sports and then boom! Engine growls to deliver you power you demand.
