#1 is acting too hurt, as if their offended by the idea that their partner would think they lied. This is a manipulative tactic. #2 is smiling in a reassuring way, as she knows there's no truth in the idea that she would cheat. Your acting is incredible.

#2 Has that snarky look. Also we are all probably wired in by films and dramas that the liar has that devious grin on them whilst swearing "I wouldn't lie to you." I did not see the hickey. Also, the real life liars tend to manipulate the other person by looking like it messed them up because you accused them of something they "didn't" do.

aside from the hickey, another reason why #1 is the cheater is because you can tell they feel threatened by being accused. #2 is unbothered and is confident in their loyalty to their s/o.
That doesn’t look threatened. That looks sad. Character could be concerned for her partners mental health. Overthinking to the point of accusing your partner of cheating can happen if they have a low self esteem.

Actually if you really think about it. It’s both. The first one displays guilt and has that hickey mark, the second one just seems like she does not care.

Even before I saw the kiss mark, I could tell that it was #1 she’s making too many facial expressions as she’s trying to convince her partner make them feel more pity make them feel guilty doubting her so that in the future they’ll think that they’re just being paranoid. Meanwhile #2 has insured expression on her face. She understands her partners concerns and is willing to confront them head on her facial expressions are more warm, wanting to stomp down these concerns because she loves her partner.

Ok ik the answer bc of the comments but just in my perspective 1) feels sad for the fact that their lover would question them in the first place, also looks pretty genuine based on the look of distress on their face 2) doesn't seem to take the situation seriously and looks almost manipulative as if trying to convince their partner that they are speaking the truth
The playful dismissiveness of two is just wonderful. It's like the notion of cheating on her partner is like saying theres a unicorn in the back yard. Its just not gonna happen, and she thinks its funny and endearing you think its there XD
