It’s Slughorn I feel bad for here. Poor man made one small mistake which he did not even know was a mistake, and this noseless murderous monstrosity was the result. Even then, he did his best to protect Hogwarts, and even duelled Voldemort face to face. That takes a lot of guts, not to mention immense power. Look at him standing by the door, looking stooped over, tired, as though feeling every one of his 115 years. Yet, at the end of this scene, we see him healing others. He’s a good man. A kind Slytherin. ❤
