I fought a Zafina Tekken King the other night, they tried to knowledge check the hell out of me but my reactions were just good enough to squeeze out the win. Having to deal with safe low into mid launcher really got me, cause I’d react and block the low but get launched by the mid. They refused the rematch though, I’d guess cause they felt embarrassed about being a Tekken King who lost to a Shinryu.

I love the recent videos where Mainman is losing more than winning. It gives us a chance to look at these other super talented players (The Steves not the Shaheen) Ps. There aren't easy slide inputs but you can sort of buffer them to make the crouch of the slide unseeable. For eg. This Shaheen was kinda buffering them out of dick jab and other moves that leave him in crouch which is why they looked like they came out instantly.
Why the comments everyone crying abt Jin, yeah D2 is annoying and so are his 213 (I think?) string but honestly with characters like shaheen Kuma victor feng alisa etc Jin ain’t even that bad, most Jin’s crumble if you got good defense

Bruh it is no longer a knowledge check problem when your opponent is spamming the same string over and over across 3 games. Just duck the 3rd hit of the shaheen string lol ppl duck it in blue ranks.
The upper tiers are so spammable in this game even with 1.04-5 patches the bottom tiers are constantly on block and the upper tiers are constantly on rush down spamming and the bottom tiers like Steve literally can't do anything even with all these changes. That's saying something because Jin isn't even top 10 he's in top 15. I won't buy tmmswe comments because the best Jins like book Devilster AveryRib Raef CBM Daniel Mado have tried to take Jin there but he's always either top 7 or top 6 with these guys playing laser focused Jin. Anyways whoever took away these Ch launchers and gave Steve these green rank 🗑️ heat mechanisms and LH stance deserves to get shamed. 28:02

@@shaghilathar3588 i also feel like there’s a fair bit of nostalgia at play too, coupled with the fact the game is different on top of things. Lots of old Tekken players raise the bar for rank meaning, but in actuality green ranks weren’t really great nor difficult to get through in 7 either, and you had the same knowledge check oriented gameplans at all levels there too, movement was just way stronger. I got through green in like sub 1 week and yellow and oranges in a couple after that back then and that was my first serious Tekken. Its a difficult game for sure, but it’s not borderline impossible to progress in like people like to act.

It is really a loss, ewhf is the best pressure and whiff punish option jin have, none is comparable. You kinda can play him without it due to multiple tekken8 jin simplifications, but if you implement it in your gameplay, it will boost you a lot

Claims Jin is a tiersexual character (albeit true in low/intermediate ranks) when he's constantly fighting for his life while spamming d2 and still ends on a demotion to a Steve. The Jin he fought played more honest and still won the set. TMM's love-hate insanity is showing and he's probably convinced himself that Jin is actually broken, again.

I was forced to learn this matchup against my will and got all my Shaheen matchup experience in after he won his first tournament, cause Shaheen and Law are ALL I saw in blues for like a solid two weeks after

The only knowledge check he was using was f2,4,4 which is annoying at first, but should be easily low parried if he's using it like 3~4 times per round like he was there. Besides that, idk why on earth he was respecting dick jab on block. That's -6, you shouldn't let him slide/hopkick afterwards. Besides that, Shaheen has no knowledge check strings besides 1 triple mid string that's only there as a wall combo

Most intelligent Mainman fan typically has room temp IQ. Esp many of his Kazuya simp fans with Kaz pfps. They're probably the most unlikeable. Mainman himself is cool though. Just learn to watch these vids without reading too many comments.

Because Steve’s are usually good players I am playing with many charecters as well but when u encounter Steve usually they are good since the charecter demands it
Jin's parry is nerfed in tekken 8 most attacks Jin can't parry within strings and if there's too much plus. Anyways for Steve those attacks are unreactable and the high and mid need to parry at the different times.
That Shaheen player didn't do a single guard break or even land a heat engager. I'm bad at the game but at least I know you have more moves than heat and heat smash.
Yeah this guy is a pretty flowcharty shaheen, you can have success with him playing funtamentals too. If You want to beat shaheens that you feel constantly do slides from every move pay attention to all of his moves that put him into crouch. (Downjab, snk1+2, ss2, d3) Also pay attention every time he goes into stance as he can db into crouch and get a pretty much instant slide that beats all highs while hes doing it.
So like every other character in TK8 once the player suddenly resorts to the game's abundant cheese? You can punish but you have to be super alert and fast to do it so it makes it frustrating when you are late to punish and you know you should have the advantage there
