the sense of exploration and mystery during the first like 2-3 weeks is unrivaled. I really miss the constant sense of danger and anxiety of exploring a new area for the first time with no background knowledge. Hopefully layer 2 helps bring some back.
The first time I encountered an owl was when it was already aggroed and although it fell in the void it still somehow hit me with its feathers. I was then gripped (I don’t remember how)
In the depths I ended up wiping because I thought I could spark swap another monster onto the owl (which I did do) but the owl still ended up chasing me even tho I was on the other side of a wall... Moral of the story you can't escape from owls
when i first started the game me and my friends encountered a black owl that was led to the shore of erisia and we would just take every dead person's loot that died to the black owl
I miss when it was my first time seeing stuff the game was so much cooler at the start then everyone figured out how the game worked and I got boring repetitive and felt too luck based

My first time playing I had no idea what I was doing and I went into the depths cause it was the only way I knew how to fight enemies. Then I found this guy and I got scared as hell
the time I found my first owl was when I was exploring with some friends and we got to the place where now u can get aerial dash, we were fighting some authority npcs and suddenly all I see is a giant owl like creature talking to me, I just spammed 1 and started running away. wish I could forget everything about this game just to get the feeling of the fresh deepwoken
What would make someone a "fresh" deepwoken player? I feel like I am a fresh deepwoken player but I feel like I also learned a lot too. But how much do I really not know? I don't know. This is confusing because I only played for 2 weeks of Deepwoken.
with fresh I mean someone who haven't explored anything yet, that just started playing without knowing anything. Just playing and not knowing what you may or may not find is what I really think is a good experience, i'd recommend you not looking for any type of outside help other than making a build, you should try exploring more by yourself and not trying to make a meta build or smth like that, hope you keep enjoying the game.
@@Charlieguh Oh yeah that makes sense. Still learning new things as I go. It's fun learning new secrets that I haven't discovered yet. Like when I first discovered "Pressure Blast" when I put in a lot of heavy weapon. It was cool that only heavy weapons can get this.
My first expirience with an owl when I begun the game and was in the depths, I was walking around and then I stopped, then as I turned around the big black guy was there.
I first encountered this *thing* in the depths while i was trying to make my way back as a noobie, my friend literally said « bro dont even try just press 3 and make the death quick » 💀
i wish i got to play the release but my pc was broken so i only played 2 months later and by that people already knew how to get bells and shit and one of the first mobs i saw was primadon cause my friends took me there

Yea my first time seeing one was legit 5 minutes after the game released I got wiped into the depths because I wanted to see how the wiping system works then I found a owl I saw a picture of it leaked where it was talking to someone so I was like “I’ll go talk to it” let’s just say my character didn’t get the chance to talk to it
The first i found a owl, i screamed and jumped of the depths. I was scared for my life in a roblox game i thought he was finna jumpscare me or something 😂😂
I had kind of the same experience with a friend, this was when the Enforcer was deemed the final boss of Deepwoken and it was my first good build(it was trash it just had adept) so going into the depths was a death sentence for me. Anyway both of us needed the green ore there so we went to get it and we turn a corner and there is that sack every player drops when they die(if they have something) and an Owl looking at it we got the fuck outta there
when the game came out I found myself near the tomb of the nameless warrior and encountered an owl on the beach, it did the grab move and dashed into the water and I never saw it again
I started playing deepwoken recently and my first owl was today, when i tried to get air dash and went to upper erisia not by the sharko cave, but by the bandits outpost way. I went through this cave, shown in vid, went to the bridge and then encountered it, aggroed giant thing I don't know how to counter
bro my first encounter was in the depths and i also had a friend with me but heres my story: me and the homie walkin in the depths right? just evaded an army of 25 jellyfish (why was there so many) anyway i was walking in the town because i remembered when i was a newbie and i had beef with the angels right? i was gonna go get some of the angels BUT THEN AN OWL POPS UP EXCEPT HES LITERALLY FLOATING IN THE AIR WHICH MAKES IT 1000 TIMES MORE THREATENING. my homie literally just said this before i picked which dialogue "man u dead at least go out with a bang" and so i play epic music and pick the "just passing by" and everything is good (untill some random dude behind us we didnt know was there agroes it) and we all die
owls are evil i swear i was runnign through celtor trying to escape the depths and some owl spawned behind me it took my friends rubbing me down with alchol before i stopped freaking out, my lvl 40 something slot got wiped
bro my first owl was in the mudskipper cave and i didnt know how it spawned there and it was also on release day so i was new and the dialogue played so i thought i was normal then the owl killed me then i was always terrified to enter the cave again
I wish you goodluck remember be cautious to those who attack, such as fresh grippers, Bounty Hunters, Hackers and Simply Trollers P.S: Biggest mistake was me dying to a simple parry trade of a hard human npc that uses divine axe and sword aka Immortal Guardian Now im in stained state while trying to farm exp with golems and some 2 people tried to gank me during the fights of 2 golems and sharko out of nowhere luckily i escaped both monster and bounty hunters (there is a reason for why I was ambushed)
I wish i knew that feather attack was an owl because back then i was playing and got lost, landed at mini (didnt even know it was mini) and got attacked by those same exact feathers.
I know how to fight almost every mob in Deepwoken but my reaction time and my timing in general is horrible (I literally just know their movesets is what I'm saying)

How did you get virginia servers??? Im in North Carolina and the only good east coast servers I can find is New York. I didn't even know virginia servers were a thing for deepwoken 😅
