Forgiving everyone, that’s a tough one… Update: I didn’t realize my comment would become a confessional 😂. More often than not, forgiving isn’t about accepting or approving. Forgiveness is the vehicle to allow yourself and others around you to move on…
Yeah.. There are just some things I don't think I can forgive people for. Edit: you guys can keep replying but im done. Try to convince me to forgive people for everything but i will not. Call me cruel or whatever, but at this point im done with the replies trying to convice me. Its not gonna happen alright? Not unless i want it to because some of you are treating it like its your choice and not mine. I will not be responding to anymore replies that are trying to "help" me at this point. My school is pretty much atheist but there are a few Christian's in my class and I'm friends with two of them but OH MY GOD THE OTHER ONE???!?!! He invites himself to my friends parties, is super rude, NEVER shuts up and is constantly sexist.
I found the last command "Do NOT gossip!" pretty relevant right now. It may or may have not cost me a friendship which I regret. I also regret the pain I've caused to the people involved in the gossiping. I felt it necessary to temporarily end the friendship for their sake. My meddling caused a great deal of pain for half dozen people - my friend, her boyfriend, and his family.
You’re probably less than 5% of people actually willing to admit a mistake like that so I commend that. Just learn from it, the Bible also states that we aren’t perfect!
@@Article_170 mistake is unintentional, and usually free of malice. Me gossiping was a bad decision which was made with ill intention just bc I felt disrespected and I chose to retaliate as a result. Even though the guy apologized which was my ultimate goal, it feels bittersweet cause I got my apology at the expense of me going below the belt, assassinating my own character, and losing my friendship which meant a lot to me.
Everyday it’s a struggle. Just remember the gates of Heaven are open for everyone. But we must do our best, ask for forgiveness, and trust in the Lord. You never know when it’s your last day. My Pastor just did a beautiful sermon on it today and church and it’s all I’ve been thinking about…..
i dont think its a matter of becoming completely ok with them, obv safety precautions exist still, if they did all that to you theres always justice but that doesnt mean you cant forgive them.
Its because everyone sins and doesn’t know what theyre doing. So we have to understand that beacause yk how Jesus died on the cross for forgiveness even though they did the worst things to him possible Edit: for people who are confused about the “they don’t know what they’re doing” part I mean that they don’t realize or understand how bad the sin is and we have to forgive them because God will punish them. Forgiving someone doesent have you to be acting all "its alright man its ok" no. You forgive but you wont want to have anythinh to do with them, not like them etc.
David commited adultery and God still called him a man after His own heart! God will forgive you if you repent of your sins (if you really mean it!) and throw it into the sea of forgetfulness.
I'm a Christian since 2013 and I tell you IT'S A VERY TOUGH JOURNEY! Because everyday His Word will make you realize and feel HOW A FILTHY SINNER YOU ARE, that you are not perfect and how you should always deny yourself and carry your cross on a DAILY BASIS, but at the end of the day you still stumble from time-to-time with sin. 😫 You are enlightened by His Word! And that all the things that from the world ARE USELESS NOW BECAUSE YOU KNOW THE TRUTH! And that's why we need Jesus Christ! Because being a Christian means you acknowledge your sins, you've asked for forgiveness, you keep on repenting and most especially, YOU ALWAYS NEEDS JESUS to redeem you and make you stronger to conquer the trials in life along the way until your last breathe! 🙏🏻
I'm not a Christian but, the religion is fine. It's the people who never even followed those rules. I felt bad for those actual Christians who's actually quite religious and very nice to everyone, and then there's someone who says "i love Jesus" but never follow the teachings + make fun of their own religion and also about Jesus. Not talking about criticizing other religions yet. Because of those people who made people hate Christianity while the actual Christians are actually very nice and loving😢

They both examine archeological sites and discoveries that prove the Bible, and even reference secular sources. (Just don’t convert to 7th day Adventism after watching the documentary) And lastly if you don’t know the gospel and want to be saved search up “abc’s of Salvation Teenmissions” on Google and it should be the first or second result. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and *he will.* God Bless :)

If you're a Christian you have to follow the whole teaching of the Bible, not just the parts that seem palatable at first. It's a challenging process, but the Bible changes you as you live and grow with it, not the other way around.
But some people use the modern day bible (one which has been mistranslated, making some of the original ideas into ones that support straight men the most) to put down other people Like one of the big arguments is the one about not laying with a man, but it was originally better translated as “so not lay with a young boy” Im not saying to necessarily pick and choose everything, because then there is no point, but also use the common sense in your heart to care for the people in your life
As a Muslim, this is also the same for Islam, but I grew up reading the Quran that’s why I already all this was bad, maybe if u grew up reading the Bible u would’ve known ( might sound rude but I didn’t mean it in a rude way) May we be guided ❤️❤️❤️
Forgiveness frees you from being yoked with your enemy by hate. It is not easy, and I’d set up support for yourself the day you do it. Even if it’s silently to yourself and God. Hate bonds you to a person - it’s better to move on

You aren't nice. There is not a single good person. Not one. We have all lied, cheated, stolen something. Do you still think your nice? God gave us these body's not to praise the earth but to praise God.
Forgiving is hard. But this life is only temporary, so why waste it on hate? We should be praising God not Praising our own flesh. We are not our owns Gods

Your family must be more religious then spiritual, the right way to do things is to pray for the person and have them go into Christianity normally, but the way they *MUST* (not are) be doing is the religious, forceful way which can be hypocritical even.
This is why I tell some ppl they need to read more bibles because some of the things that are normal are usually normal but not what’s best for your soul, and we all know that’s the only thing that’s lives on, not our physical body.
Here's my view point : Jesus Christ taught people those things bcs back then in his era, people be condensing, stealing, do free sex, do slavery and such and no one's saying things. People have been lost their way and use their mouth only to spread lies. So He made bibble so people could read and collect their thoughts and behavior and dont do such called "sin". It's better, so that peoples could live their kindest as long as they can. I'm a huge christian follower and believer. And all I see, it's positive. Although many would consider it almost unrealistic. But if you do something kind, didn't you somehow feel the happiest.? Thats what i think

I just came back from a Christian summer camp and I made the decision to forgive my sister who abandoned me and my family and who lied about us. She hurt me really bad for a little while I was bitter towards her. But let me just tell you guys something, no matter how bad someone hurts you you need to forgive them. God forgave you, in fact he actually died just so that there would be a way for you to not go to Hell. So even when you’ve been abused, treated wrongly, yelled at, lied about, or abandoned. Forgive them. I forgave my sister and I feel so much better. ❤
Loving your enemies is the hardest for me, there is this guy at my school with the biggest ego and he’ll do anything in his nature to make me feel miserable 😭

Yall seem to not get this "forgiving" thing, but yes. You should forgive everyone, its hard and just like a game you need to go by levels to complete the way you should forgive. He will guide you on how you should forgive, but that doesn't mean you should trust them again. Like if a friend of yours keeps gossiping about you, ofc you should forgive them-but that doesn't mean you should become their friend again. Exactly. Forgiveness is mandatory for a healthy spirit and a good relationship with God. But even though Jesus said if a man asks you for his coat give him your cloak also, that does *not* mean He wants you to be a stepping mat. God is a gentleman, and respects each child so much. When we learn to look at ourselves the way God does, and to put on the mind of Christ, we'll be forgiving but we will not take any disrespect.
@@z_.5557 I will, actually. It's a completely horrendous, unspeakable, evil thing for a child or anybody to go through that. But John 10:10 is clear that the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Ephesians 6:12 says we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, spiritual wickedness in high places. A rapist is somebody possessed by a demon. That person allowed the devil into their life - whether knowingly or unknowingly - and now has an evil spirit on them that's making them want to do such an evil thing. That's why the Bible clearly states to put no wicked thing before your eye, and to always pray without ceasing. So that you can be protected from the enemy. Jesus said to pray for those that despitefully use you, and to love your enemies. Forgiveness is a part of love, it is a fruit of the Holy Spirit as said in Galatians 5. Nobody will ever be able to forgive somebody who uses them like that without God. My best friend was raped. Repeatedly, for years as a child right in her own home. And she has truly forgiven her rapist because she is filled with the Holy Spirit and has His love in her heart. And because she has forgiven him, she has fully healed. You cannot fully mentally or spiritually heal from this kind of trauma without Jesus. That's why forgiveness is so important. It is not about whether that person deserves it. It has nothing to do them, but all to do with your spiritual health and your relationship with God. John 17:3 says life eternal is to know God and Jesus Christ whom thou has sent. Jesus came to deliver us from the devil, not just in sins, but in all attacks. There is a spiritual warfare. Jesus came to preach to seek the kingdom of God, and to put on the armor of God and claim our God-given dominion over the devil. It's by prayer and faith. It's by communing with the Holy Spirit.

@@Coaster04-02 the Lord is great for millions of reasons but one of them is for dying on the cross to forgive our sins! If you truly see the wrong in your sin and are sorry and try your best to not repeat the same sin then he will forgive you!
You don't understand. When God tells you to love your enemies, that doesn't mean that they won't be your enemies because your loving on them. But God wants us to love on them because He loves everyone and He is love. And He will deal with that person as long as your doing your part.

You can only do your part. That’s why Jesus tells us about the possibility of being hated and persecuted for his name. There will be people that want to be our enemies and we cannot do anything about it except not responding with hate as well.

Not really, Jesus' purpose for coming to earth was to be killed, and in doing so he took the punishment for the sins of everyone who has ever lived and ever will live that accept his sacrifice for them. And the most important part, three days after his crucifixion he rose from the grave!

im pretty sure the quran is similar to the bible in some ways, mainly because most abrahamic religions have the same general teachings (love your god, love others, forgive others, ETC)
