I just ordered my PRP trigger kit for my XD9-TACTICAL. Supposed to be here in a couple days, very excited about it! Already have installed the PRP extended grip safety & changed up the factory sights with "True-Glow" Tritium insert night sights. I have made my XD like a whole new gun. Can't wait to try it out! Thanks for the insightful review on your installation.
I'm going to make video soon of review of it. It shoots sooo much better. I can hit little 3 inch target at a nice distance like 25ft. Before I couldn't. Made a world of difference
@@fotomotoxxiii I received my PRP trigger kit today! Already dropped my gun of at the best gunsmith in town. Bruce Sleeper at "SLEEPY's Custom Firearm Repair." It will be ready by noon on Monday he said. Can't wait! My $500 XD9-TACTICAL is now a $762 XD. Looking forward to your next review, thanks.
@@davidcunningham6856 oh wow they went way up! I found a spot on my property to safely shoot so I will do more gun vids coming up more often. Stay tuned and enjoy your new setup!!
I've replaced the stock trigger's on my XD Mod2 Subcompact 40 S&W and 45ACP with these Powder River Precision triggers. They are really a great improvement to an already decent factory trigger. The break is crisp, somewhat shorter and much lighter. I measured the pull of the 40S&W at 3 1/2 pounds and the 45 at 3 1/4 pounds. These light triggers might be too light for some shooters but I do like them. Highly recommended. My triggers are polymer but knowing they now are aluminum, I might make the swap.
Seems tedious to do. I have a xdm elite. I like the trigger it’s all I want. If I ever get one I’d like to keep most of of the springs. As I read that some experienced light strikes.
I own a XD sub compact in 40 s&w and the stock trigger has always been my biggest complaint. I started carrying a Canik in 9mm as my everyday CCW so I've been spoiled with the Canik trigger so maybe this is the answer for my little XD. Great video
I just ordered both the 3” and the 4” both in 9mm DX. I would like to introduce my wife the XD and hopefully she like one of the two XD? I like to upgrade the trigger as well. There are four different kits in the website. Do you know which one is the best choice? PRP Drop in; PRP Extreme; PRP Ultimate Match; and PRP Ultimate Easy kits?? 🙏
I'd call them and tell them exactly what you're comfortable or not comfortable with doing and they'll get you exact parts you need. They offer mix of things. I'd go with drop in 4lb springs and aluminum trigger shoe. Currently we are running the 3lb springs and it's very light trigger. Super accurate to shoot.
It's ok I have since switched to alien gear cloak 3.5 and couldn't be happier. I currently carry glock 19 and xd went to my lady. Stay tuned for upcoming video on alien gear review.
@@fotomotoxxiii. I am wondering if the kit I have might be the one that needs to be fitted. Do you know the name of the kit that you were saying required hand fitting? Thanks a lot
