Those wheels looked brilliant! However, I have to agree with a lot of the negative comments on the music. Maybe something a bit more demographically neutral.
The first coat looked good alone but the copper is one of my favorite powders out right now!! Those wheels are bad ass also the way the spokes go all the way to the edge like that, Another one of my favorite things wheel companies are doing is that look with the spokes.
My local powder coater in Perth can't even produce a realistic looking silver finish which ended up looking grey and you guys are producing perfection!
Keep in mind that chrome didn't have a clear coat you lose alot of the shine of chrome one you clear it. In my opinion chrome is for base color for translucent transparent or candy color
Can u give me Prismacoat company contact i am in same job powder coating to apply super chrome on other decoration What that materials u applied before coating is it base coat. How to do it
You said the customer wanted it with an inconsistent shade!?!? Aka, wrongly applied? I wish my customers didn't care about pounding a candy on over a hot part and making it 10 shades darker on the faces and way lighter in the faraday spots.
Hi there , so we can restore our Rims ? What if i want them to be Anti Rusted with Alloyed materials ? How much they would cost to restore them with Anti Rust alloyed Aluminium ?
Having hard time finding info on Kv and uA. I’m getting a gun with them both but I can find a detailed video explaining them both. Can you give any info
some people say to set your gun so that you don't put a thick layer of powder coat cuz you might ruin them but that doesn't seem to be a problem for this guy & they came out awesome i suppose it will melt in the heat to a thin layer anyways
Hey man so I seen you use the super chrome as a base coat and then top coat with translucent copper while still hot, it came out good, but did you hit these with a clearcoat at the end or no? Just wondering how they’ll hold up without a clearcoat I have a few customers that want some rims done but am researching a little before taking that job on.
, if no clear coat yes it does tend to tarnish after awhile , if its clear coated , no i havnt had problems, also check with prismatic powders which cleaner they recommend for chrome
I positively _loved_ what came out @02:12!!! (and the choice of music was literally 'fitting' the diff. procedures!👍) My 19'' Vertini Dynasty rims is just delivered for Diamond Cutting, I wish I could have them chromed!!! . . . . . . Great docu BSP!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Those wheels aren’t fully cured. At 15 minutes they only had enough time to maybe get to the temperature the powder cures at, then they need to stay at that temperature(usually 336-400) for 10-30 minutes depending on the temp. A data paq needs to be ran to know the temperature curves of the parts and also need to read the data sheet from prismatic who makes that powder to see exactly what the cure parameters are. Been doing this for 17 years. That powder is gonna fail prematurely. Period. Otherwise great looking wheels just need more oven time.
That was my thought as well. When he put the super chrome in for 15 minutes, I thought he was doing a partial cure on it. But then he put the copper in for 15 minutes too. Had me confused. Lol
Hello, I’m from Argentina and I’d would like to know if is possible import this powder or if you have a representative or distributor here so I can buy it.
So you apply the super chrome base coat then go straight to the top coat after ? Do you apply any clear coat after the base? I am planning to do this but using transparent gold instead
hi craig, i powdercoated chrome wheels that were new as a test a few years back and the powder is still in great condition . other results may differ though regards andy
