Power Apps: Calculate Mileage Using Bing Maps [Power Platform Series - Ep. 11] 

In the 11th episode of Matt’s Power Platform series, he showcases how to take advantage of the Bing connector in Canvas Apps to calculate the mileage between destinations. This feature is great if you are using an app where mileage needs to be calculated for travel reimbursement, travel time estimates, and more. This connector is still in preview and an API key will need to be generated. Look below for a blog from Rejeeve Pentyala on how to set up your Bing Portal account and generate the API key. Once the connector is added to your application there are some different ways to utilize it. In this video, Matt shows how to use text input boxes where the user provides the locations to calculate the distance. This can be taken further if one of your data sources in the app contains the address information of your locations. You could then use this calculation in a form or text input control to write the data back to your data source.
