Thank you very much for this video, I used this method with "add picture" control and this even worked with pen input control to send signatures as attachments to a SharePoint list!
@@RahulKumar-tf8ti I did the same steps shown in the video, only in the Collect formula at 12:16 instead of using ".Photo" in the Value, used ".Media" and referenced the add picture control.

@@RezaDorrani I Reza I tried to use this Sample App to upload in my Environment, but few Flows associated with it fails to Import.... as Get items do not matches. Obviously, because the Sharepoint site name put up in it, it won't able to find. Can you help a little & remove those Flows & just keep the Package without any flow. Thanks

Hey Reza! can't tell you how much you have helped me over the past couple of years in my power apps journey. You have a unique way of taking an idea, and adding a real world application to it. The one thing I am having a problem with is patching the data into SharePoint. I can capture the pictures, and view my collection in the variables, and see the Display name and ID, but when I try to patch, I get a network error, and says there is no ID. I know I am missing something, (probably something basic), but not sure what it is?

Hi Reza, This is great. Can the same be done with the "Add Picture" control instead of the Camera? I'd like to do something similar but be able to upload images or files as well instead of just taking pictures with the camera.
I got around this by creating two screens. One for the addition of attachments via camera, and basically a duplicate of that but no camera and attachment part is normal.

Reza: Thanks for all your work. Up to now, a large part of what I've needed to create the app a construction company is now using daily came from your videos. I've spent some time on the trashcans and the RemoveIf function. I'm missing something. I can delete them from the Attachment Data Card and the collection in OnRemoveFile, but SubmitForm and/or Patch don't save the changes. Ideas? Thanks, JP
Many thanks for your video, Reza. The limit capacity of attachment files for a SharePoint list is 250MB (as per MS document), it isn't enough for an simple app like IT inventory - for example. Maybe decreasing image quality to save file size is the short term solution.
True on the attachments size limit. Those limits are further reduced when working with Power Apps. Better solution would be to use a document library to store the related files in IT Inventory tracking scenarios.

Once I've taken the pictures, I don't know how to update the record on SharePoint, a record that will later be displayed in the selection menu (the keyboard, the lawn, etc., etc.). Its a form control. Once you submit form it will add or update record depending upon form mode. I have done several videos on form control. I would also recommend posting your query on forums with screenshots powerusers.microsoft.com

Thank you for the tutorial, I was successful in getting the pictures saved to the sharePoint list, however when I try to delete one of the pictures via the form attachment, I get an unsaved message and the attachment is not removed from the list item. Do I need to somehow remove that image from the collection?

I've started experiencing an issue where I can add photos with your design but it absolutely will not remove photos from SharePoint after deleting them from the collection after submitting the form. This started with no changes on my part to the design you showcased, now I'm stuck trying to find a way to update the attachment separately from the SubmitForm function. Can the attachments be patched independently in addition to submitting the form?

Hi Reza, great video. I had an issue where in I am using the image collection in the specific format and I am unable to get the photos to display until AFTER they are saved to SharePoint. The image value is showing to be ThisItem.AbsoluteUri and it is blank on newly taken photos and populated after they are pulled from SharePoint. Any help would be appreciated.
@@RezaDorrani Thank you I figured it out. It was because for some reason it was calling the AbsoluteUri instead of ThisItem.Value for the image itself.

Hi Reza... This was a great video. One question. If I use a dataverse table for housing the data is the process the same? I need to collect only 1 photo in theory. I have not used dataverse so far as my current employer doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles yet, however I do have access to a tenant that I can "play" in. I don't want to create junk there before I know roughly how it would work.

The pictures are added as list item attachments. That’s how they are related to the main form. Its all part of the same list item. If your pictures are not being linked, there must be an issue with the way you configured it. I'm having problems with the OnSelect function of the camera (12:17) I copy the code you have used: et( varName, GUID() ); Collect( colImages, { DisplayName: varName & ".jpg" Id:varName & ".jpg" Value(Camera.Photo } ); The only thing that doesn't work is 'ColImages' Is this making reference back to an item in the app or sharepoint that you have created? I've looked back and can't find where this is referencing

Is there a way I can combine this with a "manual" attachment upload? I want my users to take a Photo + upload a file (for example a pdf file) and need both to be stored in the attachments
I believe so. I know some folks who saw this video and implemented that feature. I believe if you store the data from the file upload control into the same collection scehma, it should work. @@RezaDorrani i've done another way, by using a form (editForm with a simple attachement_DataCard control!!!), everything is now running well. I can Add a new item, upload Pics by Attchment, and of course Update too. I can of course seen on app Pic on inventory screen, i've on Consult screen each item with a gallery into another gallery to see every pic uploaded too. Regards REZA

Really useful video, it saved me a lot of time. I do have one question. When I open the app on my phone it gives me different camera views (in a list) but even though the camera names are different it always shows the image through the front facing camera. Do you know how I can resolve this?

The concept in this video is to save images as list item attachments. There is no option for adding image metadata. For that you would need to store the images in a document library and associate it with your main list item. Hi Raza, This was nice tutorial. Using this I was able to attach images to attachment control. However I am not able to remove these images from attachment control. I have requirement where I need to attach document using attachment control also take pictures and save as attachment. I used same Form attachment control which does the job to add attachments but when I remove it removed from the control but does not update the SharePoint item. Need some advice what I am missing. I am using OnAddFile and OnRemoveFile
Hi I have had this working great but now when I press to take an image it takes the image and adds it to the gallery, I can see the scroll bar get smaller as I add more and can see the title/subtitle, but I can’t see the image itself. What could be wrong? Note: this is when initially taking the photos.

Can this be done using Media instead of Camera? the Camera tool does not get high enough resolution for our needs. I would need exactly this capturing images through media on an iPhone.
Hi again Reza, I'm a novice at this but when I use your RemoveIf function for the trash symbol under the images. I receive the error "Incompatible types for comparison. These types can't be compared. And the redline appears under "= ThisItem.DisplayName" and I'm honestly not sure why. Can you help with this?

Hi Reza, can you tell me what code you've put in the "Submit" button ? Because I've put the "SubmitForm(Form2)" but it doesn't put the images in the SP list attachment, it's empty. Or better yet could you share your app without the PDF flows ? I can't seem to get passed them when I do the import app.

When I delete the images from Photo Screen and go back and submit the form again. The images still stay in the attachments control and don't get deleted. I have set the Default and Update properties of Attachments DataCard to colImages and Items property of Attachments control to col Images. Any Idea Sir, What I am doing wrong?
