Power Automate | Cloud or Desktop | A Beginners Tutorial  

In this video, I aim to dispel the myth between Cloud and Desktop Power Automate Flows. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced user, you'll get to see a couple of demos for each type of flow. What is a Cloud Flow? What is a Desktop Flow? What is RPA?
*Cloud flows* are ideal when you want your automation to be triggered either automatically, instantly, or via a schedule. You can create automated flows that are triggered by events such as receiving an email from a specific person or when an item is created in a SharePoint list. Additionally, you can start an automation with a click of a button, from a message in teams, a Power App, a BI Report or when someone submits a response to a Microsoft Form. For example, you could instantly send reminders to your team or perform actions in Teams or SharePoint. Scheduled flows are also useful for automating tasks that need to occur on a regular schedule. These flows use connectors to connect cloud or on-premises services, allowing them to communicate with each other.
On the other hand, *Desktop flows* are designed to automate tasks from your local desktop or a virtual machine. They interact with the desktop user interface and can be used for both simple and complex rule-based tasks. These flows are ideal for automating tasks that don't require human supervision. For instance, you can use desktop flows for web scraping, data input into legacy systems, and other desktop-related processes.
