Hi, thank you for your very valuable videos, they have been very useful in getting familiar and learning Power automate. There is one thing I've been trying to accomplish and was hoping you could do a video on, I would like to create an approval flow email that allows the approval of multiple items on the list based on a condition, for example if they have been approved in the first phase then all the rows on the list with a phase 1 approval status would go to second phase approval but all at ounce instead of an email for each one. Since the final approver is the same person and they want to received a consolidated approval list and then approve or reject from that list via email. Thanks

Great work! Thanks for sharing! Instead of using the variable, why didn't you use the terminate action to stop the flow in the no branch of the Manager Approval Condition?
Thanks for pointing this out. Terminate is an option as well. I had that also as a pattern but I had to keep the video to a specific timeline. My videos end up with 1.5 hrs of recorded content. After editing it comes down to 25-35 mins. Sometimes some good info gets lost in editing.
Thank you Reza, as usual It's another great work. My question is what if the request is multi level approval but it requires two people out of three to approve it, to make the request move to the next team of approvers? (2 approves & 1 reject = approved) (2 reject & one approved = reject)

Hi Reza, Great videos for people like me who are new to Power Automate and also the Power App topics. Definitely earned me as a sub! Would a dynamic conditional approval flow using a sharepoint list be suitable for the scenario of having multiple entries in a SPO list? Using Microsoft's invoice/finance scenario, instead of adding 1x invoice per line, can you have 5x invocies in one line for an approver to approve or deny? I imagine you then have the issue of if one invoice is denied, the whole flow would fail.
I lucked upon your site and am now taking a deep dive into all of your content. LOVE IT. I have a question regarding the update item trigger with a MAJORITY approval condition rather than first to respond or all. Can you set it so that if a majority of the approvers approve, the item/document is approved? Further, can you add a custom response in addition to Approve and Reject? I am thinking of creating a workflow for corporate compliance where the Board of Managers need to vote on an action that can proceed with a quorum. For example: there are 5 managers, and if at least 3 respond with approval or abstain, a quorum is present, and the action is approved if a majority of those present approve. That said, I would want ABSTAIN to be an option in addition to Approve or Reject. Is that possible?

I do have a question: How can I get the approval to happen straight from the email and the comments for the approval or rejection instead of going to the Power Automate approvals board? Everytime I get the email it sends me to the approval panel in power automate instead of giving me the submit button in the email. Hope I could get some help. Thank you for all the video. Once any action in the approve button, amount again changed as per initial request To avoid this confusion i need either of the following 1. Deactivate approve button 2. Thank you Reza for all your help. I've a question. Why does the reminder duration isn't in a loop in this flow? I want to explain. If I set the reminder duration as Minute and the unit as 5 I receive every 5 minutes a reminder until I approve. If I set reminder duration as hour and unit as 1 I receive a reminder just one time after one hour and after that the remainder flow stops. The flow is the same that you explain in your video. Reminder logic is based on template. Reminder units - how many reminders to send. Duration - time of reminder. Im not sure why it would not work in your case.

Same time business also don't want to provide access to our workflow account. how can we solve this issue.

I am in confusion what is the use of HR approval variable in the flow? How can we come to know HR approval as true without mentioning the variable inside the Sharepoint columns dynamically? Can you please guide me?
HR Approval is needed or not is set dynamically in SharePoint config list. The flow reads that information and accordingly sends it for HR approval if needed.
Hey Reza excellent video as always from. In the flow template generated later in the video, how can I put the approves that have been selected into update an item, so I can use your json formatting from another one of your videos?

Hi Reza, thanks so much for the video. Is there a way to send multiple approval requests creating just one form, but making a flow check multiple items requested and send approval requests? For example, I have a lab access request form that uses the approval matrix to send lab access requests to a corresponding approver based on the lab. However, a requester has to create multiple lab access requests for different labs instead of submitting one single request for multiple labs and having the lab owners only to approve the lab access to the labs they actually own. Is that a possible thing to do? Possibly, you already have a video on that? Thank you
Hi Reza, Firstly, that you for all your work and vids. they have been very helpful. I just have a question which i am hoping you can help with. I've customised one of these approval templates (wait for all responses). Currently i am able to cancel the request and also re-assign to new users, but there is a need for the requester to possibly remove a user from the approval list. I can't seem to get this to work. Do you have a solution? thank you. Canceling the request wont work as we may already have some responses from other approvers and we don't want to resubmit a new approval. i have played around and deleted the entry in the approvalrequest table and this has changed the status of the approval to complete, but i dont think this is the correct solution. This also didn't not allow the flow to progress to send the final email with all the tabled answers. I can see in the flow there is logic to check if 'ApprovalDone' is set to 'true' before email, but i'm not sure where i can set this in the tables? Thank you for your time. Regards
Thanks for watching and liking the videos. I recommend not to update the standard Approval Tables in Dataverse (Reason: Microsoft owns the schema of those Tables and it could change). It is not recommended to make modifications to it. Currently, Only way to achieve your requirement would be to modify those tables (which is not recommended). I have not tried your scenario hence not sure what the best path would be. I will recommend checking on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/ in case someone has done something similar.

I am having an issue with a very similar approval flow. The key differences: - Trigger: When an item of file is modified with a conditional approval (based on another one of your videos) that the status must be pending so it only routes for approval once the creator hits "Submit for Approval" - I want approvers to be able to make changes to the file during the approval process without killing the flow My approval flow works perfectly when files are not modified, but when an approver tries to make an edit, the flow is killed / does not continue on to the next approver once the approver reviewing / editing approves. Is there a resource you can point me to that creates sequential approvals but allows for items to be edited? I originally tried to use the "When a file is created" trigger, but then it would fire before the files were ready for review. Appreciate your videos and help!

Hi Reza, I'm trying to create an approval using the "create an approval" and "wait for an approval" using dynamic approvers. If the 1st approver decides to re-assign the approval to a co-worker, is there a way to find out that the approval request was re-assigned? I'm trying to look out the output of the "Wait for an approval" but could not find anything there. Thanks and love your videos!
Reassignment info is not provided as output by approval actions. One option would be to store the name of the original approver in a variable. Once the approval response is received, check the name of the approver against the variable. If different, then it means it was reassigned.

Will it be possible in case of rejection to send the approval back to the requestor to amend some changes to the form and resubmitted it to their managers with the Dynamic conditional approval process instead of raising a new request? I noticed you already did that in a state machine workflow but wanted to see if it is possible in the dynamic approval process.

How do I go about updating a sharepoint list to approved after ALL the approvers approve. The approvers are dynamic, it can be 5-18 approvers. Note: i'm using a custom start and wait and the users have the option to only "approve" (no "reject" option)
I have done many approval videos where in at end of approval process I update status to approved irrespective of how many approvals. The type of approval does not matter. Check my approvals playlist.

I cant figure out a solution to this scenario... A manager starts an approval process, another manager might be on vacation or busy and doesn't have access to their emails for a period of time. I need to figure out a way for the manager that started the process to be able to approve the document for another user. Maybe the other manager can't directly approve it but has seen the document and verbally approves it. I need to give some sort of option for the manager to approve it for the other manager so the flow can continue.
You could auto approve if not responded for a specific duration of time or escalate to a different user. I have a full playlist on approvals that covers a wide variety of scenarios. I will recommend checking it out.
Hello Sir, big fan of you... I am having problem with power automate Whenever I tried to update the some fields in SharePoint list using ms flow, ms flow update the column 'Modified By' to flow creator. How can we avoid it?
If item is being updated by flow which is running under creator account, the modified by will show their name. I believe there is a rest Api endpoint which allows writing modified by field. I do not have a video reference on it though and would have to try it out to provide the steps. Is it possible to have manager approve, but if they do not approve after 1 day then it goes to the managers manager? This has me stuck. We can not manually plug in names since everyone has different management.

I tried the Integrate PowerApps option but I got this statement "The power flow's logic app flow template was invalid. The 'type' property of template trigger 'manual' at line '1' and column '9494' has the value 'Manual' which is deprecated in schema version '2016-04-01-preview' and onwards" I wonder what went wrong

Hi Reza, is there a way to notify the requestor whether his or her approval has been approved or rejected "WITHOUT" using email ( outlook, mail) ? I am asking this because at my company for some reason our outlook does not work and manger is not doing anything about it :(

Hi Reza, is it possible to create questions answers in between each approval workflow, like if we have 7 approvers to approve to the request but before approving or rejecting approver want to question for their doubt any of the approver can ask the questions from CCD emails and then after satisfied with the answer user will accept or reject, is it possible to do?
Currently, approval forms cannot be customized. However, I have shown ways using power apps to build your own forms (does not use flow approvals though)
