Heading out to Veterans' Memorial Park pond out in Boulder City. The goal for this video is to get some stocked rainbow trout by using power baits. Follow along for some hints and tips and to see what I can catch out there.

one great thing to reflavor power eggs or any kind of lure is garlic dip, i work at basspro we have tons!! come on by! i notice the hoodie 💯💯

Great video Vernon! It's been all trout for myself this far this season. I just tried soaking my power eggs in procure corn scented oil that I use for carp fishing and got a number of bites. How about the only difference between me and you was I let it sit out where it was just like power bait. I never thought to do a slow reel. Have you ever tried doing drop shot fishing for trout?

Hey D Jr. Lately the trout have been real gentle when taking baits. I have seen many people miss fish when leaving the baits soaking. It is small faint hits. It might be better to go for a drop shot rig as you will be standing with the rod in hand when the fish hit. Drop shot was my go to before I started fishing here in the USA. I find that changing your rig every once in a while works best.

I caught like 5 trout at boulder pond first time using garlic power eggs on the same two eggs havent stopped using them since...

Put a tail on that power ball or go buy the power bait with a tail attached to it. Trust me you'll get more bites

I do have some bubble gum mice tails, but I have yet to catch any fish on them. I will give the a try again next winter. Thanks Nova Mike

Hey Truth Seeker. Trout can be caught at night. They have good eyesight and it helps to use smelly baits. Low light conditions are great for trout. That being said, I prefer not to be out in the cold late at night, but if you are brave enough...

I use the same color magnum floating power eggs with #10 hook and they float well. When the fish are less active I add a second one and jig it around a little and it wobbles nicely to get their attention. I also may or may not spray a little wd40 in the jar of eggs. That’s usually my go to for our parks as well as the spinners you showed. Happy fishing

@@FinallyFishing yeah just a little twitch. I usually test the bait in the water in font of me so I can see what it’s doing. But then again there was a little girl at sunset park next to me catching all the fish using totally different method, so I’m always willing to learn and try new things. That’s why I subscribed and learn new from you, thanks for the content
