Do you know u just helped someone greatly when u uploaded this video ? My boss has been asking for a sales analysis report, this given me so much idea on how i should be constructing the report for her.
How did you created button for each year? I am having column for year in my dataset and I want to have separate buttons to interact with my visualizations?
hi, its really awesome. Thankyou for beautiful video .. can you just share the dataset, as without dataset we cannot able to practise as explained and bit difficult to learn .. so plzz sahre the dataset. thankyou
impressive reports 👍 I'm curious to know if there is any dax to find out the target sales of previous months/year. like I want to know the date of previous month/years when the same amount of sales happened. if my (35%) sales for 2020 reached in the month of August I want to know when 35% sales reached in 2019. I shall appreciate if you can help in that thanks
It is a custom visual in Power BI, i.e it's not part of the native visuals. You can learn more about this visual here: github.com/Microsoft/powerbi-visuals-bulletchart/
Forgot to mention, the card is actually the native KPI visual in Power BI Desktop. Looks like a block with one up and one down pointing arrow. Glad you enjoyed it :-)
This is cool filtering, but is this really analytics? For analytics I understand that the system should be able to tell me something like this: sales of product X have been slowing down since 20xx due to new competition from company Y etc....
I guess it boils down to filtering, but being able to visually see thousands of records in just 1 picture, and using data models like this, can help make effective business decisions. For example, @2:18, the cost of the lamps were high in New Jersey. Maybe the business can work on implementing a strategy to lower those costs. Ideas like opening a factory near there, so you reduce shipping costs.
