You are an absolute genius. Been searching for days of a way to countrows with a specific value as filter without luck. You did it in minutes. You have all my support.
THANK YOU! Been struggling to sort some RAG conditional formatting based on % and using ROWS cracked my problem! I'm very glad of your clear video - thanks!
Thank you so much for this. I have been stuck on this for hours and now and this has solved the problem I had and now understand the filter function too (I think).
Thank you SO much... I didn't know how to include two criteria.. learning the | | pipe symbols was awesome.. and all the other tips were great too, thank you so very much, quick and simple when your in a hurry and need a resolution fast. thank yo
Thank you for the nice video. I am trying to count specific words in a collum. When I try to do that, at am told, that it need to be a number to be counted...Do you have any suggestions how to do that in Power Bi?
Thanks...your tutorials are very easy to understand.I like it and also subscribed.Could you please share more necessary DAX functions/formulas in upcoming videos.
Hi I think in the 3rd example, "Yes And Excluded", you used the pipes || which do not represent AND (&&) instead these are for "OR" (||) You have to change the name of this example from YesandExcluded to YesORExcluded because that is what the formula returns. Apart from above, I also think in this example by using FILTER function we over kill the calculation, it could have been neatly done by using simple boolean filter like: YesORExcluded=Calculate (Countrows(table1), table1[Status] = "Excluded" || table1[Status] = "Yes") My 2 cents...
&& (double ampersand) Creates an AND condition between two expressions that each have a Boolean result. If both expressions return TRUE, the combination of the expressions also returns TRUE; otherwise the combination returns FALSE. || (double pipe symbol) Creates an OR condition between two logical expressions. If either expression returns TRUE, the result is TRUE; only when both expressions are FALSE is the result FALSE.
