Great review. But curious to know what specific adhesion you used to mount the magnets to the plates? And, for the twofer, what specific magnets were used? Thank in advance for the 1yr. follow-up as well as the initial initial review😉.
Thanks for following the power block series 😌 I used bolts to add the magnets to the plates. But afterwards, I've found plates with magnets inside for the same price as making them. Here is the link to the video: What the POWER BLOCKS are Missing! - DIY PlateMate ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JgWLODm9kLo.html And these are the magnetweights I've found here in europe: www.fitness-seller.nl/atx-magneetgewichten/ Hope this helps!
I had luck, in March (2022) those powerblocks went down in price at Decathlon (Be) from 450€ to 395€. Bought them immediately. The same as yours. Love them. Good review.
With normal use rattle is at a minimum. Obviously if you shake them, they will rattle a bit. But I wouldn't be concerned since there are no moving parts, it is just the metal moving against itself.
You said each of the adder weights are 1 kilo each, this is Not true they are 2.5 pounds or 1.13 kilos each. So 2 adder weights are: 5 pounds or 2.27 kilos so it completely makes sense for American Imperial "Pound: system. Each handle = 5 pounds 1 Handle with both adder weights = 10 pounds then in POUNDS: 15, 17.5, 20, 25, 27.5, 30, 35, 37.5, 40, 45, 47.5, 50 YOU WILL LEARN, I WILL TEACH YOU . . .
Tganks for the in depth analysis brother! The only thing I see is that my adder weights where exactly 1 kg 😅 I even made a video where I weighted every individual part. How Accurate is the Power Block Sport EXP? Lets Weigh them! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CHFaOgjBoNs.html In the end, it is the work you do with it and de progressive overload that will get you stronger. Non the less is fun to nerd out on this too 🤣
Do you hear metal on metal, when you rerack the weights?, i would like to buy the pro version, but they dont have it now, just this one like you have. (probably because pewdie pay had a rewiew on them😅
Hahaha, the pewds makes everything sold out! No I do not hear any metal sounds, the individual plates are positioned in a slight slope, so it is very easy to rerack and adjust. The pro version IMO is more for commercial gyms, like hotel gyms were a lot of people will abuse it.
@@BarRookie thanks for the reply. I have bought the base, will youse it for a week or two, and then make the decision to buy the extensions to have the complete package
Also, I highly recommend to make your own microplates. I used super glue to make my magnetic plates. With microplates the powerblocks are the best dumbbells you can buy in my opinion. I made 0.5Kg, 1Kg and 2Kg microplates and now I don't even use the 1Kg weights the powerblocks come with.
@@dincamarcel3691 thanks for the advice. Have sean some have made the microplates. I have at my work shop some heavy metal plates, have tought to make 5kg-10kg on each side, to have it up to 50kg (110 pounds) per hand
