Ronnie and Kanan’s feud with Raq intensifies as Marvin desperately searches for an out-of-control Lou-Lou. Famous and Jukebox both find themselves at potential turning points in their music careers.
Season Synopsis:
Over the last two seasons of “Raising Kanan,” Kanan Stark has slowly learned the truth about not only his mother, but also himself. It has been a tortuous journey for him and everyone around him. With each new revelation, Kanan has been forced to confront his family’s seemingly never-ending web of secrets and lies. He has spent much of this time in a state of denial, but now, Kanan’s blinders are finally off, and he doesn’t like what he sees. In season three, Kanan finds himself grappling with the very notions of right and wrong. Good and evil. Fidelity and disloyalty. And he’s not alone. Every member of the Thomas family must confront an existential crisis that challenges their very identity. Whether it’s Marvin, who’s still trying to redeem himself, or Raq, who’s finally coming clean, or Lou, who’s wrestling with his own evil, or Jukebox, who’s simply trying to break free from her family’s pathology, they are all attempting to redefine and reinvent themselves. They won’t all be able to complete this intensely personal quest, but for those who do, the destination may reveal the most terrifying secret of all. There is no right and wrong or good and evil. There are no absolutes. In the end, there’s just you.

This episode showed the results of the Ghost like move that Raq did that took Ronnie out of business (at least for now). Ronnie leads with fear with Raq leads with strategic thinking. He is not in the same level as Raq.

In this episode, we learned more about the hierarchy, power, and agreements of Raquin, Snaps & Pops, and Stefano--there are rules and lines/territories that they don't cross. Julianna not only went behind her cousin's back by supplying his product to Ronnie but she also violated Raquin's agreement (to not supply heroine to South Jamaica) that put him and his operation at risk.

The bad press is enough to end her career. That was "Butta's" first appearance and the FBI shows up in front of everybody. Her music promoters will not look at her the same. They will see her as a liability. If she had already made it and was making money for them, things would be different. I do believe that's the end of Juke's music career.

Maybe it's just me, but the craziest thing about Ronnie much like Lamar in BMF is that as much of a menace as he is, if someone were to take him out, it would be the easiest kill because other someone finding the body it literally has no consequences. Nobody cares or would bat an eye if Ronnie were gone. In fact a collective sigh of relief would fall over the neighborhood. And I think we can all agree that it's past time for Raq to hit Kanan with that metal to the face wake-up call like Ghost gave Tariq in season 6. I think the reason Raq hasn't snapped yet is because she's well aware of the brunt of responsibility that she bares for his behavior, but it's clear there's little to no more talking to be done with this kid.

Burn toast does cure hangovers however, that being said, I just think Luis’s mom really doesn’t give a crap about anybody but herself lol she probably accidentally on purpose burnt that toast, but it does help with hangovers so I don’t know if that was a purpose, foreshadowing of the show or was just the symbolized that the mother didn’t give two craps about any of her children

I think Snaps Pops Raq will some kind of way to agree to let Ronnie and Kanan have a small piece of the drug action in South Queens. I believe that deal will be enough for Ronnie but definitely eventually not enough for Kanan Tommy and Ghost. Ronnie is used to local small street control but not larger expansion of drug trade with multiple drug connections

Juke has had the sweetest moments on this show. You can actually have an involuntary smile during some of her scenes. But if nothing else negative happens during the rest of this series with Juke, enough has already happened to send herbon the road to being “that crazy bitch” we saw in Power.

The outcome of Juke's life is so unfortunate because she's the only one that wanted out of her toxic environment. Her outcome was not her fault. She tried everything she could do to get out of her environment but all of the disappointments and situations took her down that dark path.

The fact that the workers knew what they heard about Lou and didn’t say anything says a lot about Marvin’s relationship with them. Jukebox may smoke Howard if she finds out it was him who had her dad put away.

This season sucks. Every storyline is connected to something else and it just is making it too soap operaish. I know everything has to tie into the current versions of power but in my opinion this series could have stretched out the characters longer. The first season was the best and it had a more realistic vibe to it now it just seems they are all over the place. Killing off unique was bad. Making the relationship between Kanan and his mother the way it is now is bad. Ronnie is still wearing the same clothes like what are we doing. Marvin became friends with the white guy from his group is ridiculous. There are many other situations I could list that just seem ridiculous it seems they have gotten away from what made this series seem like it was going to be one of the best ever.

bathtub drowning incidents are common actually- even with adults. One slip, head injury, and oxygen deprivation will take a person out. The storyline is realistic there.
