Oddly enough Matt zip ties can do a lot of damage. I own and operate a small trucking company and do most of my own maintenance now. Zip ties are a great invention, but one has to still be very aware of any movement. Good find on the cable

Do you all warranty work on a submerged outboard? Even though it’s little, I’m surprised that outboard wasn’t a loss with insurance.

Nylon ties will chaff, / eat it's way through caterpillar high carbon steel like it was butter. brand new 777 100 ton end dumps, a nylon tie down, securing a hydraulic hose, next to the die-cast steel frame, chaffed a notch in the frame of the truck, having no effect on the tie, but put a crevice the size of your finger in the frame, about the depth of what your finger is through. all those pumps singing / decimals play those ties like a violine bow on the strings.

@WillFixThat I use my gearwrench XL double boxed wrenches one side ratcheting one side fixed it helps to reach to bolts and nuts that are just out of finger tip range

Matt loves the Kershaw we have a few of them stashed in different places at the house and then of course the one that's always in his pocket! He has Kershaw Radar and Kershaw Leek (3 of these LOL)

Engine's are made for salt water, my Yamaha is called salt water series yet almost every time it's salt water issues you'd think they'd have that figured out by now

Yes salt water but flush after every use.
