🚀 Clean Pro Supply sells professional cleaning chemicals, industrial epoxy products, tools, equipment, extractors, truck mount systems, concrete grinders, shot blasters, floor scrapers, and more to cleaning professionals and epoxy floor installation contractors.
⭐️ Client Testimonial: “When I started my business, I spent hours online searching for equipment. Every company wanted to charge an arm and a leg for shipping… Clean Pro Supply didn’t charge me hardly anything. They sell the same excellent equipment everyone else does but marked down a lot cheaper. Also, I was denied financing equipment at another company but didn’t at Clean Pro Supply.
The customer service is the best part of this company. Rachel, whom I’ve worked with, has had an answer for everything and always has the best advice. Five stars from me!!”

Great video. Well presented. But wanted to bring up a slight correction. The 240V 30amp plug is providing 30amps per leg (per 120V circuit); this would mean the splitter you have on the 240V 30amp circuit would support 30amps for each connection (for a total of 60amps, not 30). The totals watts for the 240V 30amp connection would be around 7,200. The total watts for the 120V 30amp connection would be 3,600.

This video was extremely helpful. I run a mytee escape and understanding how to maximize the generator power was always tricky. Thank you

It goes like this: One can not add up all the Amps at the same time. For you would go way higher than the 12,000 KW from your Generator. So remember this: it is "Kilowatts" that we are really working with. So IF you are using just under 50 Amps; on that largest receptacle X 240 V it = 12,000 KW. And that is IT! You could NOT use any other receptacle. But if you are not using but say; 35 amps, then you can use other receptacles. As long you don't exceed 50 Amps all together.
@spacecoastz4026
@spacecoastz4026 Год назад
At 6:46 when you split the 240v 30 output into two 120v output, each leg is still limited to 15 amps each. You can't demand 25 amps on one leg and 5 amps on the other and think its ok.

My generator has the 4 prong conector but it says 13A max. How is that going to divide my split connections in the adapter ?

Since you have two legs or circuits of 110, can you basically run a spliter backwards and get 220 with around 30 amps?

Why do they put two plugins on the 120 if you're only supposed to use one? Why not just put one outlet each?

Did you say the 3 prong 30 amp outlet could run only 1 appliance , but I have a 3 prong 30 amp ext cord with 3 outlets on the other end ?
@robertweston2775
@robertweston2775 Год назад
The 3-prong 30amp outlet is 120V. Try not to consider the number of outlets on the end of your 30amp cord, but the actual load that you are placing on the 30amp cord. You should be safe with a load as long as it is less than 30amps and is running 120V.

I have a 2200 running watt generator and a 100 ft, 10 gauge extension cord. Would it wrong to plug in an extra 75 ft, 12 gauge reel extension cord to the 100 ft extension cord to power household items?
@dieseldawg7132
@dieseldawg7132 4 месяца назад
From what I know if your going to 100ft you need 10awg or you might have a really hot cord better to go bigger

Question. I'm trying to power a AC on a generator. Ac is 115v 25amps. What plug should i use? NEMA L6-30P Twist ??
@MrBritrider
@MrBritrider 3 месяца назад
Why are there two 120V outlets when you should only use one of them per leg?
@Matt-zb8ik
@Matt-zb8ik Месяц назад
I believe he is trying to say that if you use both outlets on the one receptacle, you could trip the breaker. This would happen if for example, you had two appliances like two refrigerators. Each needed 15 or 20amps to kick on and they both turned on at the same exact time, this would trip the breaker. If both were plugged in and one turned on to cool your food then the other a few minutes later, you should be good. Refrigerators only run about 6-8 amps, both combined about 16 running amps, under the 20amp power rating. Some refrigerators need anywhere from 10-20amps to kick on, thus if you had two in one outlet then you would trip the breaker.

Great video, super helpful! The 120/240 outlets; Can I connect any 120 or 240 volts device on it? The idea is to connect a generator to a transfer switch and then supply power to a 240 V a/c unit and some 120 V appliances on the same generator.
@ACWORKS
@ACWORKS Месяц назад
That is correct. You are able to power anything that needs either 120 or 240 volts. You may have a switch on your generator but it might not be necessary to flip it to 120 because your appliance or device will pull only the amount of power that it needs.

What if I'm trying to plug into a nema 14-50r female that goes to a home? I can't seem to find any 50a power cords that go male-male.
@robertweston2775
@robertweston2775 Год назад
You will not be able to find (legally) any cords that are male-male. These cords are called "suicide cords", because they can kill people if the ends are accidentally touched by someone while the cord is energized. The 14-50R plug on your home does not sound right... a generator inlet box will have the correct type of connector for your house.

My new frig keeps tripping the breaker on my champion generator. I read that on some new frig’s this is an issue. Some people say the workaround is to use a 3-prong to 2-prong adapter. Any better ideas?
@ACWORKS
@ACWORKS Месяц назад
I would first need to understand which champion generator you have. If your generator doesn’t have the running watt capacity that it needed to power the refrigerator then your generator would trip every time.
@ofiasdfnosdf
@ofiasdfnosdf Месяц назад
@@ACWORKS it definitely has the capacity. After further investigation it looks like something on this new refrigerator “fools” the generator’s GFCI into tripping. My solution was to instead connect to the 240v port with an adapter.

How would you wire or where would get a cable that has a 3-prong male end for plugging into a generator's 30 amp 3-hole receptacle and a 4-hole female end for plugging into a 30 amp 4-prong outlet connected to a house's 30 amp circuit? My generator doesn't have a 4-hole 30 amp receptacle to match the house's.
