Funny how Matt Bellamy can play riffs as heavy as Pantera and sing melodies as pretty and delicate as Chris Martin and he doesn't need the kind of facial hair that will get the cops called on you in Manhattan if you look at a girl because every single person who notices will think you're going to physical assault her. It's funny that you say how good it looks and how he probably can naturally do it. From what I remember he had some apprehension being the singer for Muse because he knew he didn't have that typical rock sound to his vocals, but instead of being something he's not, he leaned into what he can do. No formal training that I am aware of.
