8/20 Nightwish, Kamelot, DragonForce, Sabaton, Sonata, Alestorm, Hammerfall, Powerwolf specifically. Majestica kinda sounds like J-Power Metal even though I don't think that's where they're from. Might wanna check them out.
And nightwish is more symphonic than power, still they fit right in there because a band can be more than just a singular genre. Also, I believe Pirate metal is more of a lyrical genre and Power is more of the instrumental one@@markdemars7648
I got Blind Guardian, Dragonforce, Sabaton, Hammerfall, Gloryhammer (my brother used to get that song stuck in my head all the time at this point Universe On Fire is just part of my dna now), Nightwish, Alestorm, Orden Ogen and Powerwolf. When I say that I like power metal I mean it.
Sabaton - March to war (intro) Blind Guardian - Valhalla Helloween - Skyfall Nightwish - Nemo Kamelot - (couldnt think of name) Dragonforce - TTFAF Rhapsody - rain of a thousand flames - Still just under Rhapsody in 2001 BattleBeast - (forgot the name) Gloryhammer - Universe on fire Stratovarius - Eagleheart Majestica - Above the Sky (Tommy is awesome) Orden Ogun - Gunmaaaan Nocturnal Rites - Never Again ( love old and new ) Hammerfall - Last man standing Sabaton - Soldier of Heaven Sonata Arctica - Paid in full Powerwolf - Dancing with the dead Twilighforce - Sapphire Dragon Alestrom - Drink! Gamma Ray - (forgotten name) ? (primal fear)
I think that symphonic in metal is just an adjective to the genre because you can have symphonic power metal, death metal, black metal, etc and it would be wrong to have Nightwish, Haggard and Emperor as the same genre
11/20, I got Nightwish, Gloryhammer, Powerwolf, DragonForce, Twilight Force, Orden Ogan, Battle Beast, Sabaton, Alestorm, HammerFall, and Rhapsody [of Fire]. I am ashamed to admit that Blind Guardian eluded me
Damn, I recognise the voices but i couldn’t put the group on the song, as some of the songs wern’t the ones I listen :P Still, I think I got like 10 out of 20 :)
Rain of thousend flames was actually made by Rhapsody. Rhapsody of fire era came later 😁 Then Nightwish is not a power metal band though they made some power metal tunes back in the day.
8/20 Nightwish, Kamelot, Rhapsody of Fire, Gloryhammer, Dragonforce, Sabaton, Alestorm, and Powerwolf. Disappointed with myself for missing Blind Guardian and I identified Stratovarius and Hammerfall too late to count them. The rest are bands I'm generally unfamiliar with.
Haha nocturnal rites is pretty good imo. Shadowland, the grand ilusion, the sixth sin and out of ashes are great albums imo. You should definitely check out their song still alive
4/20 Also, this is probably gonna trigger a lot of people, but other then Powerwolf, Sabaton, Gloryhammer, and Dragonforce, most of these sounded like garbage, Idk if it was just bad clips of the songs or the bands not so great songs were chosen, but they didn't sound that good. Out of all the ones I didn't know, none of em had me going "OMG, that sounded amazing, I gotta look up this band now and add them to my playlist", guess there was a reason why I haven't heard of them besides the 4 I listed.
You’re not wrong. I only got the twilight force one because Spotify keeps throwing them into my mixes and they are painfully mid in a way that makes them distinguishable. Alestorm is pretty good, though, and the lead singer is Gloryhammer’s keyboardist.
@@Metal_junk in most cases, yeah, but i thought he still played keyboard in the studio recordings and Barber was just doing the tours and music vids. Could be wrong though. He's still writing for both bands, however
