One huge trick is this, I used double press for the side key to turn on adaptive brightness. So no more struggling to find the brightness bar under the sun! just two clicks on the side and your screen is shining 😎
I really love bixby routine, i used it for many thing like setup edge panel for specific app (calender & calculator on samsung notes, media & app for youtube/chrome, etc), automatically set stopwatch when i started a running workout, set the volume button to open certain app when im at my home or connected to spesific Bluetooth device, open an app to check in/check out that my office use at spesific time so i dont missed it, program nfc tag to do something, separated audio and start playing spotify playlist when connected to Bluetooth speaker, etc. It really change the way i interact with my phone
I'm using these routines, give a try: 1. Apps → Mobile Data/Wi-Fi 2. Fixed Rotation (Portrait/Landscape) for some Apps 3. Keep phone unlocked for specific Wi-Fi network 4. Color inversion → Non-DarkMode apps: IF: Dark mode is ON & An app opened → THEN: Color Inversion. 5. For scheduling downloads from specific browsers 6. Daily battery saving mode (10PM-5AM) Power saving→On; Mobile data→Off; Flight mode→On; Auto sync→Off; Always On Display→Off; Protect battery→On; Fast charging→Off; Eye comfort shield→On. Reverse All after routine ends (except Mobile data) 7. Read aloud the Full charge notification (when the battery is 100% charged) My Suggestions: 1. Camera → Brightness routine. (Add Location option to it, then it'll automatically add Location tags to Photos/Videos 😉) 2. Message from specific contact → Reads aloud (it's good for some contacts 😃 just like a Salary credited message while taking a bath 🤣) 3. Setting a custom ringtone(s) for specific contact(s) is better than a separate routine, I think.
Bro i hav one extra if ur phone is mute n u wanna locate it with ring then just set a routine IF notification recived with a special charecter (set a number to work semless) THEN sound on Ur phone will be on sound
Almost Crying... OMG. I used iphone 2 years for make a Pause for Android and one amazing thing on iOS that I loved was the Shortcuts. On Android I know early the only way it's Tasker App... Until Now... Another thing that's makes me love Samsung and Android :3
I've had an Android for years but only just discovered modes and routines. I wanted to optimize my phone for certain apps and came across this vid, it's awesome! Modes doesn't seem as useful. Your ideas were great, I'm going to set up some of them. Thanks:)
A better command to turn on your Samsung's Flashlight: go to Settings > advanced featutes > Side Key. Turn on the double press power button command, set the app to open as the Flashlight. Now you can turn on and off your flashlight by double pressing the power button.
This is awesome haven't even started using routines yet, Samsung is definitely pushing what ai can do for us, wow decades ahead of the comp, and we have people pushing to slow down and limit our progression smh. I'm glad their not listening keep it up samsung. Nice vid.
OK, so I turn my cell data off when I am connected to my home wifi network. You are using location for this, or something else? Normally, I wouldn't do this but I need to help my phone save battery!
@@Zr0din i use this but with a manual toggle. I have set to turn wifi off and data on, increase volume, and brightness high whenever i manually click on the bixby routine icon
Great video. Please help with this. IF Camera app is open and IF Hiking is being recorded (Samsung Health) THEN Audio Guide (Samsung Health) is muted. When we're recording a video while hiking the audio guide will announce "1.5 miles complete" or "Workout Paused" or "Workout Resumed". Very annoying when recording a video. Can you help?
I use Bixby regularly and have developed a few routines to use in my car. One particular routine I use is to screen mirror my phone to the car infotainment screen. I use a quick command within my routine called "kenwood". The quick command has 5 steps and they usually work pretty well. I originally wanted everything to work seamlessly without having to touch the phone but I haven't been able to do it. Smartview is used to mirror the phone to the car, but I have to touch "start now" in the connection dialog box otherwise everything would be automatic. Is there a way to set smartview to connect to a previous device, or be rolled back to a previous version? (I'm using a S20 FE running Android 11). Thanks for your help and the videos.
i set up routines for: *hotspot *stay unlocked for specific places/wifi/bluetooth *fingerprint open Raw expert cam *created a macro routine which takes me directly to youtube playlists and another one for phone update check up which is amazing! 😮
Is there a way to apply two conditions simultaneously? For instance, I have a sleep routine set from 23:00 to 07:00. However, I would like to add another condition where it only triggers if I am at home or a specific location. Currently, the routine activates as soon as I arrive home, regardless of the time. The issue is that if I am traveling during my sleep hours, I do not want the routine to be triggered. Have you experimented with something like this? Thank you!
I am trying to set up the "read message out loud" function, I can set the "IF", but can't find the "THEN" you show (Read notifications aloud). Is there some toggle in accessibility or somewhere that needs turned on. If so can't seem to find it...any help from anyone would be appreciated this is a new Z3 if that matters.running Android 12, Thanks in advance. I am using a third party messenger (Chomp) because the stock one sucks LOL. But I switched to it to try...My list of options in the "then" section is about half of those I see online...what gives?
Hi, Extra dim feature is not available for Note 10 and s 10 series. There are few apps which are available which offers the same feature.. check out my channel.. I recently made a video on that
if you can make a routine for "IF message receieved with keyword OTP or code (i mean security codes from bank or app to activate something) THEN copy this code" so can be easly used & apply the code faster than going to messages, open message read or memorize the code then go back to the app to apply the code .....
Yes.. however that feature is available by default.. whenever we get a message with OTP the keyboard shows the OTP in suggestion.. we can just tap it to feed it on the app..
@@ThePhoneFuel thank you! Hmm, so if I were to have found that module by myself, how would I have done that? Sorry, I'm new to all of this. Didn't even know about the Galaxy store as I always used play store. Haha
No problems. Some of the samsung phones support an app called Goodlock which is made for customizing the galaxy phones. On this app there are various modules which can be downloaded. You can search for good lock on galaxy store and download it. Inside good lock you can download multiple apps / modules
Just reading a notification aloud is pretty useless. Asking if I want to respond to that incoming message is what I need. Just like Cortana used to allow. But NOBODY does this right on Android. NOBODY.
@@TheEnthraller Not really. Cortana had it right. While you can sort of get Bixby to read incoming notifications, it SORT of works over Bluetooth and will play "catch-up" for just a few moments after you disconnect from a Bluetooth device (like your car), but it does announce a new incoming message and then ask if you'd like to read it or ignore it. Cortana had it exactly right. Nobody had duplicated this yet.
hi there. first of all, let me take this opportunity to thank you for your nice vlogs about the subject. I am currently using a fold 4 after a decade of using an iphone. i have some questions regarding 2 routines running at the same time. I made a sleep routine which turn off the wifi, Bluetooth, data connection, and notificatuons with the power savings on. The other routine is putting the phone in a power saving mode when the battery level falls below 10% with same "then" actions. My question is what if the first routine is on and in progress and suddenly the second routine triggers in to start, what happeneed to the commands? I have different results which is very confusing. I dont know which routine is running and which is on a stand by. can you please explain whats happening? thank you again and more power.
let me explain further the case. the sleep routine is active until 5 AM. Then it switches back to its original state after reversing the actions once the time is up. However, the second routine prevents it from getting back to its original state because the power is still below 10% and will only be back to each original normal parameters once its above 10% charge. what happened to the reverse command of the first sleep routine? when the charge is above 10% wifi sometimes is still off.
Hi Robert, Thank you The second routine is preventing the first routine which puts the phone back to normal power mode because the phone has less than 10 % of battery so obviously the second command supersedes which is normal
They've change it of place. - Pull down the notification bar twice - Press on the power icon on top (between the magnifier and settings icons) - "Side key settings" at the bottom. You will be able to configure the double tap and long press side buttons there
The way I have done my driving setting is, when not connected to home WiFi Bluetooth comes on automatically. If car Bluetooth connected then do a bunch of settings. The way this guy did it, he will have to leave his Bluetooth on all day, wasting battery.
@AppX that's not the point, your method wastes battery, so why waste it on automation when there is a better way. Bluetooth uses different amounts of battery power on different models and brands. So there is no definitive answer.
Thanks.. we don't have such option. We can reverse the action automatically or create another routine if the auto reversal is not available any particular routine
Thank you. Did you mean the button action option on the if condition? Or the button to turn off the flashlight on quick panel after the light turns on?
You overcomplicated the flashlight by using a routine. On my Note 20 Ultra 5G under advanced features > side key > open an app, flashlight is the first option under double press. Then double press will turn the flashlight on and off. Learning quite a bit from your videos! Thanks!
Yes you are right... I should not have made a routine for that.. though I have used flash light through side keys before, I completed forgot about it 😅 But the point here is bixy routines is offering an option to turn on the flash light but no option reverse the routine or turn off the flash light.
IF notification recived with certian key word keep a no for better results THEN turn on sound If ur phone is on mute n u want to locate it via calling then snd a message with certian key word that u hav saved n it will be on sound Side buttons can also be assigned to mute or sound by doubble tapor long press without unlocking phone
I have a galaxy s10 5g and i use the Bixby button to turn on and off the flashlight just by a single click, no routine needed. I think you can use it as well from the advanced features menu in the settings.
Yes, you're correct. On my Note 20 Ultra 5G under Advanced Features > side key, you can choose "open app" and "flashlight" is the first option. Double press the side key and flashlight turns on. Double press it again and it goes off. No routine needed. I love that Samsung has been adding useful features like this into the settings. No complicated third-party apps necessary, not even a Good Lock module is needed for a lot of useful features!
@@adamhdd7394 On my phone I only have "double press" and "press and hold" options for the side key. And press and hold only has "wake Bixby" and "power off menu" options. So the only option is to double press for flashlight. I'm good with that. I wasn't even using this feature but now I set it for flashlight. Thanks for pointing out that you can do it this way!
