I loved his serious expression and rock-star hair. I’m still hoping we get to see him in another Critters movie; he mentioned the possibility in a behind-the-scenes feature on the Blu-Ray release of Critters 4.
The cute blonde chick playing guitar is who wrote this song. Her name is Ché Zuro. She has a great song on the Critters soundtrack called "No Turning Back".

You know there are some kids who get into movies for their music and this little ditty is the reason Critters is among my favourites of all time!!! All hail Johnny Steele!
@@Groovy213 As much as i love part 1, i think part 2 surpasses the first due to more critters, more thrills, the town being th setting, the ball of critters and that hot blonde centerfold bounty hunter Lee (She was a beauty eh?).
@@Johnlindsey289 Yeah, that's fair. It definitely ups the ante and the carnage, which is nice. And can't disagree with you about the blonde ha ha. At the end of the day it is a respectable sequel (and like I said, much better than the next two)
I´m a proffesional screenwriter who saw Critters in 1986, To this day I say that the idea of a space bounty hunter who choose a rock star to blend in among humans is ABSOLUTELY GENIOUS. Is not just hilarious, is a great way to give a bad ass character to a strange being.
Without a doubt one of the best songs heard in any 80's horror movie considering that it appeared in Critters. Add to the fact that it was sung by Terrence Mann makes this song even more iconic and unforgettable.
I love how the bounty hunters just go from world to world, town to town destroying everything in their paths to get to their prey. Hilarious and badass. Very fitting theme.
In my mind, Johnny Steele was one of the biggest stars of the 80s and will remain one of the greats! So will warden Zanti, and if you don’t know who he is… well you’re just clearly not a big enough critters fan…
Terrance Mann is fantastic in this. He legit could have been a rockstar. Btw if you want to see Terrence Mann now he’s on Foundation Apple TV show and yes he’s fantastic there as well.
This song was in my head a couple days ago and I didn't know if the lyrics were right so all I sang was "It's the power of the night, streets are calling! It's the power of the night, play it louder" just on repeat
Yes, Johnny fuckin Steele with Power of the night! This song made this film what it was. I love it. I love the 1980's everything. 🤞🤙♠️🍀🍀🍀💪✊👊👍💥💯🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
The power of the night by Johnnie steele is a awesome and excellent song and the movie critters 1,2 and 3 are the best movies of all time. The forth one wasn't that great.
This is a genuinely great song. It would make for an awesome opening credits song for some kind of video game where you play a jaded cyborg detective in a highly advanced Los Angeles in the year 2345. Like it's all just close up shots of said detective fearing up; he slips on leather gloves, holsters his pistol, laces up his boots. And as soon as the chorus kicks in at 1:06 -- boom! We zoom out to see the detective's vehicle speeding off into the night towards a massive and partially bombed out skyline. The title card appears with the game's title in neon red.
