The power went out during first period. Haha, lots of fun and drama went on. It actually took me a while to figure out that the backup generator kicked in. The outage was due to construction going on down the street; they hit underground power lines, so the power was out for almost an hour.

Sometimes power would go out in my school because back in 6th grade the power went out for 2 hrs and we had a generator only for the hallway and we couldnt see in the classrooms!

For me at my school they just have half of the lights set up with backup batteries

Yes, the clock and the fire alarm system have their own backup batteries and the generator takes about 1 minute to kick in. Oh the generator is also for the upstairs lighting (where I was).

That happened to me! We were in gym and then the power went out. The generator kicked in tho. Also only half the hall lights were on. It appeared that lightning struck the power line going to our school.

my school had One Small power outage due to power issues. there were backup lights though. but our school was really old.

backup power is there to power the major stuff such the frozen foods and they the computer system and telphone system

At my school when the power goes out the exit sign starts flashing, the emergency lights turn on, and the fire alarms go off so we can wait outside till the power goes back on

At my elementary school, they resumed class like normal and they made everyone go home after a certain amount of time At my middle school they just make recess longer (not sure what they do if its during class) At my junior high (my current school) I am not sure yet, the power might go out tomorrow because its supposed to be really windy

my power went out during school yesterday.Sense there was one of those evil clowns on the walkway near the school everyone was saying the clowns shut it off and were comeing to kill us all.

power out if you hear sound like alarm not loud but light is failure system and it from outside power line was hit by car

There were lights on because the backup generator kicked in and the power was knocked out by a construction company that was building an orthodontist office across the street. There were no car accidents.
