very nice and comprehensive review of all the prop and suitmakers robbie, had to chuckle a bit how you pronounce boheme since i pronounce it like bohemian rhapsody or doremi (fasolatido). i agree with you on halus fabric/ stretchyness i think its cause its not quite spandex but more like stretchy silk or something, i also have a littledragon red ranger spandex (he sadly quit making suits) that is much stretchier compared but a little less accurate than halus. the toys like props part i coudnt agree more on, apart from the original 90s bladeblaster, that ones great to use the toy from, especially if you paint the black part white and add accurate stickers (the 90s morpher can also work if you have a holster for that one). best wishes dutch red ranger
So glad that you liked the video! And yes I've spoken to Little Dragon I believe once but I ended up going through Rav. I would love to paint my old blade blaster so that it's correct...maybe I should make that a video! Yes the 90's morpher is the only toy that I think would be light enough to wear for MMPR cosplay. That's a good call out on the fabric btw, I think you're right. It's more like silk than spandex.
Great information bro! I get people asking me all the time where can I get Power Ranger Cosplays from outside of Aniki all the time. Now I will just direct them to this video. Good stuff!
@@graykh5866 horrendous communication and will make helmets not proportionate to your head. Sucks because he was extremely well-praised by cosplayers hoping for a good PR costume.
I would just like to say thank you for recommending studio Bohème to us. I just received my order from them yesterday and their boots are very comfortable! I will definitely come back to them when completing my second cosplay!
Transform studio is worth a mention - I got my Jungle Fury Blue from them last year. Not the best experience while waiting - they kept saying the suit was done and they just had to photograph it before sending it out, and it took another few months of nagging before it finally arrived - but the suit, helmet, gloves, boots and gauntlets are good! In a few aspects they are actually a bit better than the photos on their web site, although unfortunately in sunlight the colour match between the parts is a bit off (they match better if it's cloudy and much better indoors). I'm taking the arms in a little because I'm picky about wrinkles and bagginess, and will be remaking the white neck tube/hood thing because the sizing of that was way off, but that's pretty minor and easily fixable and everything else is good. The visor they show on the web site is opaque and has holes for vision, while the one in the helmet I actually received is tinted plastic, which looks much better from outside and is enormously better to see out of (I'm quite used to grid-of-holes vision from my Spidey suits and being able to see as well as if I was just wearing sunglasses was a revelation!)
First of all, i just wanna say thank you for putting this list together. Not only does it help any starting Ranger cosplayer with his/her choice, it also gives the creators the promotion they rightfully deserve, cause these people are amazing at what they have to offer! Around 2014/2015 i came across Maniac221 at a con in the Netherlands, and he gave me the link to his online store, because i wanted to get a proper Dragon Shield. When i had trouble deciding which shield would work for me, he advised me to go with the Sentai version, because of the curves at the front of the shield which helps with arm posability. Other than that, there are some creators i know less than others, but i'll definitely check their Instagrams as well, so once again thanks alot for these reviews and links to various well-known suit/prop makers! ;)
Stoked that you found it helpful my dude! I remember when I was basically messaging strangers and asking them so many questions...and even since then, some creators are around, some are not anymore. So I figured, well let's do a list of some creators that I think make a good product and make it easier for people to find them. Yeah I have the curved one, the sentai shield. I like it, but the hero one does look awesome.
Wait, are you the dude that did the awesome Inari Gai cosplay with the epic beard/goatee?? Awesome video. I've been wondering about all the offerings out there. Gonna dig into your channel now but, how do you handle bathroom breaka at cons? Lol
What a nice compliment and yes, I did an Ikari Gai cosplay very recently. Oh wow great question and is usually very tough. So luckily, since I've been cosplaying I've made a few friends who also cosplay as well. Usually we'll help each other out. Where I'm extremely fortunate is my very patient wife haha. She holds my bag, my badges, my helmet when it's off, etc. Been trying to get her to cosplay as a ranger as well. We almost had her do Dino Charge gold, but the cosplay didn't arrive in time.
5:27 2 Days?! Holy Cow! I'm still making my own suit and I can't pump that out in 2 days! I'm still learning to make one! I got to figure out how to get one of those show worn suits! When it comes to Cacazan gloves, you are going to need to translate the entire website for it. I got a pair and the cost for the ones I wanted was 167.9X cents. Just make sure that you are at home when it shows up. But the customer service is pretty good!
i wanna psyccho ranger suit + helmet. i dont wanna use aniki due to their "reputation" what are the alternative makers with trusted best reviews? thanks!
I'm putting together Ranger cosplays too. Specifically, Lord Drakkon, MMPR White and possibly Red too. I'm wearing a plain White spandex suit with Drakkon and White Ranger plus I'm fabricating the armour from foam and getting buckles 3D printed as well as buying Legacy toys. In addition, I suggest you don't knock the Lightning Collection helmets. They look great.
That’s awesome! And yeah Lightnings are 100x better than the gigantic Legacy helmets. The only thing I think they’re missing is a glossy finish, which some people actually do themselves and it looks great!
@@OperationSpider Yeah like I mention, there's tons of creators out there to choose from! These are just the ones that either I've worked with, or I have personal experience with myself in one way or another that I would feel comfortable recommending to other people:)
@@GeekLevelAsian Not yet. I'm a good way through a Ghostbusters suit (my first cosplay piece, started in September). Yesterday I was feeling a bit down, so I've given myself some things to look forward to! I've ordered a Batman cowl from TigerStoneFX, and the Blue Ranger helmet. Always wondered what it would be like to wear these things, so I've pulled the trigger to get them and find out! The lead times for some of these pieces is big isn't it? Getting used to the cosplay world! Great work dude, keep it up.
6:46 Okay, second time watching the video and I had the same problem when I made my suit. Too much overlap. Had to trim that immediately! 10:21 The one that goes straight out is the accurate one.
A friend of mine is making me a helmet from turbo the blue ranger but this one is his very very first one ever so I’m excited to see it but I might get him to do a suit idk but I’ll definitely try others if I can afford it but for now just a helmet
This is great information to know! I bought a cosplay of Deka X Ranger from aniki cosplay. Never got it. Since then I’ve been looking online for an alternative. I’ll definitely be giving these people a look see
@ Geek Level Asian I have the Black Mighty Morphin ranger Cosplay And the Ranger outfit I bought last Christmas is the Green Turbo Ranger Cosplay, then one day I would like to buy the Green Zeo Ranger Cosplay because Adam Park (JYB) was my Favourite ranger along with Zack. For Zack I'm Energeticnergetic, Creative and Love Break Dancing , While for Adam I'm Shy, Quiet and Skilled in Martial arts.
I wish I had seen this video earlier. I bought the real leather gloves because I thought real deal = more durable. Also I don't feel that stupid anymore knowing that I'm not the only one that got my Halu suit pretty loose. I was thinking I got the measurements bad, but maybe that wasn't the case.
Really helpful mate thank you. I do have a question, if I were to want a Magna Defender commission would I go to an armor person like Ars or a spandex person like Ravs? Already know I want a wild helmet
Hello! I just found your channel and I'm so happy with what I see. Thank you so much for making this video! I've looked for helmets but Google always leads me to anaki. I've dreamed of doing a dino thunder white cosplay all of my life. Thank you for all these recommendations. I do have to ask though, Are there places you recommend if you are on a budget?
@@GeekLevelAsian Like a $200 dollar budget. I heard that ACG cosplay is good for suits on a budget but idk about helmets. I've tried making my own with no luck
Great information! Would you recommend piecing a Green Ranger suit together from different people based on their specialty rather than ordering an entire suit from one source? Also what sets Wildranger's helmets apart from Aniki as I noticed his are more expensive?
Any opinion on EZCosplay? I ordered a helmet from them I haven’t gotten it yet but from what I’ve seen they do make good suits as well but I noticed they weren’t mentioned in your video so I wanted to know your take on them.
I ordered Gokai red helmet from EZCosplay I haven’t gotten it yet but they sent me pictures of it and it looks gorgeous I think. I’ll probably order my suit from them as well.
@@nerdpunk8922 I hope I get to see the finished product of my costume, that’ll give me more insight to get suits from other seasons I like. Have you gotten reviews of AC Cosplay? I only purchased my Mother’s Rita costume. I was wondering should I get Gold Zeo from there since EZCosplay doesn’t have him.
what's your opinon on aniki cosplay and their stuff? They definitely have a....unique reputation i think and I didn't see you mention them in this (unless I stroked out lol)
Sian Makes Stuff on Instagram does killer belts and holsters. She’s also currently attempting Dragon shields. I only own a belt and holster from her and they’re super nice. The belt is made me actual leather so it’s very sturdy
Quick question I’m to lazy to watch the video but where can I get white Dino thunder ranger helmet that looks exactly like it that’s clipped that’s not magnet what’s the best site to get
I'm more curious about props and jackets; specifically the shinobi garb worn by the teams in Hurricanger/Ninja Storm. Is there anyone who specializes in that kind of thing?
Great question, I haven’t actually ever given a head measurement but probably a good idea if you know helmets don’t fit. Like my silver and red helmets are so small I can barely move my lips in them.
yes the will ask you to measure ....some time for look you compromise comfort for so when you can always add on circumference just a little on so not to crush nose also give yourself jaw room when every you can in measurement ...that is always personal tase
@@Knightfall182 I don’t really mind if these things would take time tbh. I have a lot to keep me busy. And the best part is that I don’t have rush. I’m hoping that the vaccine works though as my country just stared issuing it. Fingers crossed!
I'm on a mission, I found this video doing some research on how I can get my hands on a og mighty morphin power rangers suit plus helmet. Looking for close to original. On a weightloss mission to make my long lost dream cone true. Where can I find this dudes website????
Any thoughts on Kamen Rider Nimoy? I’m trying to put a Red Hawk (Chojin Sentai Jetman) cosplay together and he’s the only one I’ve found that does Jetman helmets.
I've never used Kamenrider Nimoy, but I know a few cosplayers who have. I feel like things look overall fine, but I would ask for up close shots of helmets.
I Need a Dai Shi/Jarrod helmet from "Jungle fury" but instead of Black with gold, I'd like it to be White with gold. can anybody help me contact someone who can help with this request?
Anyone doing ZEO or SPACE or TURBO. If you want to do a photo shoot. I will be DOWN. cause Im looking to find the yellow and pink ranger outfits and its difficult but once Im done I want to do meetups with anyone and everyone possible that wants to do a cosplay and walk around town.
I wouldn’t really know to be honest. I ordered once from them, waited over a year and still never got anything. So I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge for not sending to me in advertised time. They ghosted my messages until they received the disputed charge...and even at that time...one of my cosplays was half done and the other wasn’t even started yet after a year. My wife and I were super disappointed because we didn’t have our cosplay for the event we bought tickets to. The other thing is when you get the all in one, sometimes not all pieces look right. Like for instance, Aniki’s green MMPR helmet is not as accurate as Wildranger5’s. Some of their cuffs aren’t as accurate as Arsramdha’s. But yes, Ars for instance can do head to toe cosplay. Halu007 now does neck to toe and you can pick another vendor for helmets. I know Bulletproof studios does head to toe as well and even does Monsters!
So I may have answered my own question with this but is there a company that could contact for making a possible ranger that doesn't exist? I have wanted to look into creating my own. Would any recommendation possibly be up for working with a vision I have and helping me make the ranger suit of my dreams, or would I have to contact again multiple places and find if they would work on specific pieces?
I think Studio Boheme or Arsramdha. And Aniki makes good helmets, to me that's about it. But I wouldn't order directly through Aniki ever. Only if someone has already bought it and I'm buying from a private seller.
Hey, it's me again, my parents won't let me try and get the money for the Shishi Red cosplay since it's too expensive, so I wanted to ask, what's the cheapest cosplay I could buy that's from a Sentai between like, 2005-2021?
hmmm that's hard to say, but I would say anything with a lot of armor is going to be expensive. It depends on your budget. $800 is probably the lowest I've seen.
Hello. Can you tell me the name of the pants, the Power Rangers suit? I know that a suit is a jumpsuit, and a pattern is a T-shirt and pants sewn together. So I want to know what these pants are called, what patterns should I look for to make the same cosplay?
@@GeekLevelAsian yes, I know, but the creators of the original costume took the pattern from real clothes from a turtleneck sweater and pants, and then combined everything into one piece. So I want to know what patterns I should look for for the bottom of my pants
@@maxHeadroom325rayxerin he doesn't respond to updates or commission orders and feels like a chore to get anything from him and I noticed most his orders are form his inner circle
hello, thanks for the great video. i learned alot. but, i just noticed, u didnt mentioned aniki cosplay. i am new to cosplay and i used to hear aniki cosplay make power rangers costume. is there specific reason u didnt mention them?
Henshin Vault from what I think I understand is more jewelry, coins, etc., I don’t think I’ve ever seen suited up Ranger cosplay items from Jc, but I do love his work and I have one of his bandana. Starlight from what I know makes coins for the toys and plates, which I’ve bought before to make my Master Morpher. But in this video, I recommend not to use toys for buckles because they’re heavy and weight the belt down. Aniki I didn’t have a great experience with.
